On decemeber 18 2013, me and my girlfriend were looking for an apartment in brooklyn New York. where we hire the company Alotta Apartment to help us find something in brooklyn. upon hireing Alotta Apartment, we agree on the appartment that they found for us. in the contract, it clearly stated, if we are not approve base on our credit and background check, we would get our refound back. we paid the broker fee of $1300 and a application fee of $200. after a few days, the broker call us back and stated that we werent approve base on our credit and if we would like to take the apartment we would have to pay $5000.00. after finding out that we were not appove, we decide to ask for the broker fee back, the company broker started calling and starting to agrue with us. the company now dont not want to give us back the broker fee as stated in the contract and now holding our money.
