The best way to convey what this company has done to my family is to share with you the letters I have written to the Chicago area CBS news team and with our village. I am sure that we are not the only people that have had difficulties with this company, we are not that lucky with the lottery, so I would imagine they've displaced other families as well. Here is a detail of our bath remodel with Amazing Bath, now on it's fourth day of remodel. Our bathroom is only 7' by 6', God only knows how long they've displaced families with larger bathrooms.
I did not know who to contact in the village. My husband and I have been having severe problems with a remodeling firm by the name of Amazing Bath. All of the information is detailed below. Last evening at approximately 8:15 PM a plumber in conjunction with Suburban plumbing company came to our home to repair a secondary valve. He had to break the seal which my husband or I are going to call the village about tomorrow morning the 17th of October. Please forward this to the proper party(ies) as I would imagine my husband and I are not the only customers this company has done this to. I am not sure what the village can do about this, if anything, however I wanted you aware of the situation in the case that things go from bad to worse. Thank you for your time.
Hello, my husband and I are having our bathroom remodeled. I know that CBS covers problems in the Chicago area concerning unreliable and unprofessional contractors. We live in Carpentersville, which is approximately 40 miles NW of Chicago. We contracted Amazing Bath to remodel our bathroom because of severe mold. We were told that it would be a three day job, tops. We are now in the fourth day, as the third day the contractor did not show up, that being Saturday the 15th of October. Due to shoddy work we now have a ruined hallway carpet caused by a leaking valve that the contractor did not plug nor call my husband's attention to. Our two sons, a 5 year old, and a soon to be 1 year old on 10/21, and I have been bunking with my father who lives in the same town. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, which makes getting water to them difficult. On Saturday we called Amazing Bath speaking with Marty who could not get anyone out to us, we've called the contractor who could not help us with the valve. We did get a third party out who has repaired the secondary valve, breaking the water meter seal which I'm sure our city will not care much for, however being an emergency I am hoping they will understand. My husband is an Independent Computer Consultant who is not salaried. He and I expected and planned for a two day loss, however a three day loss of pay is very difficult to recover from when you've not planned for it. Today, Sunday October 16th the contractor was to show up at our home at 9 AM. It is now 10:57 AM and he is still not here. We cannot contact Amazing Bath as they are closed. The salesman that contracted with us is not returning our calls. The contractor has not returned the two telephone calls that my husband has left him. We have no toilet, no sink and no working tub or shower. My husband and I have placed a call into Empire Carpeting to come to our home on Monday evening the 17th for an estimate. We have also placed a call into a lawyer to counteract the loss of money my husband and our family has endured due to this company. If at all possible I would like the CBS evening news to bring attention to the Chicago viewing area the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior of this company. The telephone numbers and address I have for them are as follows: Amazing Bath and Kitchen, 1086 Industrial Drive Suite 2&3, Bensenville, IL 60106-1262, 1-877-266-2284, 1-630-238-1200 (no extension was given). Thank you so much for your time. I hope that in some way you can help us, and if not, help some other unsuspecting people who have budgeted for repairs to run not walk to the nearest exit when it comes to this company.
