I was sent to american airline by Delta because the 1 oclock flight was not flying. i went to american like i was told, but when i got there the flight attendent said what do you wont. i told him Dalta sent me to fly with american. he said he couldn't let me fly because i hadn't bought a ticket from american.

I told him i know that. i tried to explan it to him but he wouldn't listen to me, he had the tickets that Delta fixed for me and all the information was there. He wanted to know how i was going to get to kansas city when i reached La.

I told him Delta fixed the ticket to fly Delta when it was time. Bard is his name, he told me if i wasn't nice to him he wouldn't let me fly, which he didn't Delta had to reroute me and that made me have to lay over three hours in La, two hours in dallas and i didn' get home until sat morning.

I was tired and depress. i have never been talked to like that by any body working with the public on top of that he threw the tickets to me and told me to go back to dalta. he said delta didn't tell him i was comming over, but delta said they had been rerouting people all that morning.

I thank it was because i was black and every one else was white. him and his supervisor was laughing about it.

John, you stated, "i imagine (judging by your grammer, and run on sentances) you went up to the counter with a 'tude and got a bit in return." John i agree with you 100%. This individual sounds incompetent, and profoundly ignorant. I am judging this by her words, and what you stated in your rebuttal to her. I have no doubt that when she decided to grace this poor airline employee with her presence, the attitude came replete with improper vernacular, and major attitude in form of the indignant head twirl, and phrases like, "Oh no you didn't!!!, "MmmmHmmm"..."Say What!!!", with a "Holla!!!" or two thrown in for good measure. This "woman" reminds me of that loud mouth woman from the Progressive commericial wanting to know who Flo is. You know the one.

However, unlike that woman, this person failed to un F herself, and was indigant to the end. Learn to act civilized, and not like ranting and raving lunatic, and maybe, just maybe, you just might find that people may be willing to help you. No one owes you anything, and i am glad that employee reutrned the favor in kind. I really look forward to one day seeing a rebuttal from you. I would love to continue this further. Grow up and get a f'ing life. Again, no one owes you anything, and the attitude you give, is the only one you should ever receive. Me personally, after the first head bob, and inappropriate behavior, i would have been calling security, and the police. If you should ever read this, please, please respond. I will be waiting.

I dont know the FULL STORY as you can only tell 1 side of it. However I will make these comments.

1. No person in any BUSINESS should be RUDE to a customer. Sometimes this is hard as customers do get VERY RUDE to people when they are having a BAD DAY and having to be Rerouted on a Airline can definetly cause a bad day. So you may need to think how you were with this agent also.

2. If Delta sent you to AA and didnt furnish you with all the documents or information they needed to allow you to travel is not AA's fault. They cant get this from Delta or anything, that is yours & Delta's responsibility. It sounds like you didnt have everything as you stated you got sent back to Delta for more information & Paper TIckets etc.

3. When he asked you how you wee going to get to your FINAL Destination may have been a ATTEMPT to help you and you just didnt understand it. When Passengers show up stating they are going to some FINAL Destination & they only have tickets to half way there, this is a trigger to start questioning things.

4. Also when you state "he told me if i wasn't nice to him he wouldn't let me fly" this may have been cause you had become IRATE in his opinion and he now had SECURITY CONCERNS. Sorry, but since 9/11 everyone is on a heightened sense of security, like it or not.

5. And fianlly by you stating & trying to play the RACE ISSUE "I thank it was because i was black and every one else was white." it shows me that it is YOU who is a RACIST. Black people need to realize that a lot of what they percieve as RACISIM is cause they think they are entitled to a HIGHER STANDARD because of past regressions. You will probably find that there was also "WHITE PEOPLE" getting the same treatment under the same circumstances.

So learn to quit being a RACIST and learn that just because of past racisims, you arent going to get anything extra than what everyone is entitled to.

Gloria, I feel bad for you. Ever since 9/11 flying has become a big hassle. You don't need that experience on top of everything else. I guess the only thing you can do is never fly American again. In this day and age I am sad that there is still a problem for blacks. Whatever happened to getting the satisfaction of helping people? (shrug) There's no better feeling than seeing a smile of graditude. Just remember, that which doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. Take care.

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing this nonsense over and over. I've dealt with a multitude of black and white people in the public sector and things don't always go my way. That's life!

Should I jump to the conclusion that when a black person doesn't see it my way that they are discriminating? I don't think so! (Even though they have the opportunity to do so.)

Crap just sometimes happens for no apparent reason! And it happens regardless of race. Get over it!

i far as i know Delta and United are separate airlines...they are under no obligation to accept the tickets of other airlines....they do so as a favor to you.

..i imagine (judging by your grammer, and run on sentances) you went up to the counter with a 'tude and got a bit in return...of course we all know that if a white person says anything disrespectfull to a person of color it must be racism.
