On or about Sept. 05 2012 I ordered a pair of boots from American army navy. At which time I recieved an email stating that they had debted my acct for the amount of $201.93.

I later found out that not only did this store not have the boots in stock, but the boots had been discontinued from the manufacturer.

After several attempts to to get a refund on my own, with no success I turned to the better business bureau. To which they had no success, after that I contacted the atty general of North Carolina and recieved the same lack of success.

I have retained the email that I recieved from American Army Navy stating my order number and ammount taken

refund

As obviously stated in my original post... I did try and work with them to get my refund, in fact I contacted this company approximately eight times to no avail. Had these thieves had refunded the monies I am owed I wouldnt have contacted the BBB. Had they acted in good faith I wouldnt have had to contact the atty. general of NC. Please, try fully read the entire post.

You know instead of trying to make trouble for them have you tried working with them to resolve your issue?? Ok so they no longer carry those boots. Instead of making trouble, which I can assure you will cause them to NOT help you, why dont you try and get them to issue a credit or a swap. This way both of you can be made happy. Them because instead of dealing with someone who insists on causing them trouble, they can atleast attempt to make you happy. And you because you get the value of your purchase.

See the self-entitled nature of the American consumer tends to blind them to other options available to them. Youre ranting and railing. But the problem is THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!! They can completly ignore you and walk away with your cash and there is NOTHING you can do. They will just say that they shipped it out and it must have been lost in transit. Too bad so sad and oh you didnt get shipping insurance so your screwed.

So try working WITH them and you might get a bit further. And in the future stick with REPUTABLE online companies. Really you should just NOT shop online because of the inherant dangers. This is just one of them. You have to pay for a item sigh unseen. You have to give them money and HOPE its sent out. Stick with going to your LOCAL stores. This way you do have a recourse if something goes wrong. And you support your local economy. The pricing may look nice sitting there in front of your computer but the COST is sometimes more then you can bear.
