American Discount Movers AVOID THEM. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW OWN POLICY Fort Lauderdale & INTERNET Florida

Complaint Description:
I scheduled a move date of 8/19. Policy states can cancel for refund within 7 days of pick-up date. Called 8/11, they refused to refund. I scheduled a move date of 8/19 or 8/20 on the contract number. I called them on 8/11 to cancel the move. I was met with hostility saying, it would need to be reviewed by their "board" since it was too close to the move date. According to the Cancellation Policy: Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations of moves within 7 days of pick-up date (or originally scheduled pick-up date if you postpone the move): My move dates( pick-up date) was Tuesday, 08/19/2014-08/20/2014 stated on the contract. Based on the Policy 8/19 - 7 days = 8/12. The Representative then stated that they don't count the Pick up date as a date, which is contrary to the what policy says.
