I ordered three signs online and unfortunately, I did not read the reviews out there on this company first. The website showed all three signs in stock and I received a receipt via email for the signs. After the receipt, I received no shipping information for days, so I contacted them via phone. The man that picked up was very rude, the worst I have ever dealt with in a business. He kept insinuating that if I didn't receive a UPS email, it was because I must have entered my own email incorrect...except that I did receive a receipt from him so obviously, I typed it in correctly. The call was abrupt, short and he was incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Finally an email arrived from UPS and I discovered he had entered my shipping information incorrectly (even though it was correct on the receipt). When the package arrived, it only had two signs in it. So I promptly called to find out where the third sign was. The same man again answered the phone and this time around was even more rude than the first time. I asked where/when the third sign would be coming and he made some very snide unhelpful comments that dodged the question. In an annoyed voice he asked what I wanted and I said for him to send the third sign I ordered, and he said "Well OBVIOUSLY it's not in stock." When I questioned why his website didn't indicate that, he hung up on me.

As someone who works with many businesses on a daily basis, this was a really disappointing experience. I am so sorry that I supported this business and I would return these signs out of principle but these people are not worth the trouble.

One Man Show

AUTHOR: American Heritage - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 15, 2016

I am the owner of American Heritage, truly a mom and pop shop minus the mom. I am the owner and sole employee. I handle all aspects of my business.

All of my sales are shipped out the same day they are ordered as long as they are received before 2:30pm. I enter in the customers email with the shipping company and they in turn will send an email to the customer. Occasionally, UPS or USPS does not send an email because it gets lost in cyberspace, this has happened a few times.

My website clearly states that all questions, concerns, disputes must be handled via email. I am a one man shop and  I can not spend alll day on the phone.

I only recently found out about ripp off report, hence the late response.

I stock over 8,000 different metal sign images, occassionally the website is not as up to date. It is easy to miss a sign or to forget to mark it out of stock or it may have only recently become out of stock.

Each package is shipped with an invoice that will show the quantities shipped. If one sign or more are missing it is because they are out of stock or no longer available. As a small business it is not cost effective to ship out a signle sign, therfore I do not ship any missing signs at a later date. If the customer is willing to pay additional shipping for the missing sign when it arrives in stock then I can ship it.

I am not trying to be rude but when you operate on your own and a customer complains about shipping or one missing sign but can not appreciate that the other signs all arrived without damage and that I had the lowest price available it is very easy to get frustrated. I clearly tell all customers that all concerns msut be handled via email.
