American Standard Financial - Barbados Phone Scam St. Georges Vergin Islands

I was called on 9/13/07 by Dona Carlton ID #0155 to tell me I had been chosen to receive Federal Grant money. I was thinking great I can use it to send my daughter to college.

Then the red flags started popping up. She told me she checked my income and that I did not make enough to keep up with the cost of living, and that I definately needed help and would get it. (wrong, I can and do keep up) I just thought It would help greatly if I could get a grant for school so I wouldn't go into debt. 2nd she told me it would cost me $359 for the kit. After I filled out the kit I would definately get the grant, as long as it was all filled out properly. (Me pay to get a free grant - wrong-) and number 3 red flag she wanted my bank account number for electronic withdrawl ( I wouldn't give anybody that especially someone from barbados over the phone, with out any proof of who they are.

I immedately hung up and looked them up on line, thank God I did not give them any information.
