I wish I would have seen the first rip off report before going to this school. In the beginning they tell you exactly what you want to hear and its all wrong. First Americare does not have a weekend program. In addition their evening progam is not really evening; these classes start at 2pm.
The President tells you that if you take a class prior to starting you get credit and the tuition goes down. He is lying...and you wont find out unless you ask the account manager. You have to ask they wont tell you. They dont even tell you the real cost of the program until its time to pay. Right now the LPN program cost here is $20,995. It went up about 23% in the first year. PLEASE TELL ME HOW THESE SCHOOLS ARE GETTING ACCREDITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know that only 280 LPNS's are needed per year...but there are 75 LPN schools in Illinois alone.
WHY?????? Because students are fed a bullshit diet that becoming an LPN is a sure way to become and RN.
WRONG!!!!!
If you couldnt make it to get into RN school.....you will fail at LPN school. They are not going to teach you, especially the liars
Ambria College of Nursing in Hoffman Estates (formerly Americare in Hanover Park, Il).
Like the other rip off school PCCTI, these schools are making millions, thats right MILLIONS OF DOLLARS for the owners. Its a "for profit" school.
You are paying for their retirement.
Unprofessional staff, poor clinical site (they want help with the CNA work) and dis interested teachers.
Sure, they take anyone...be real with yourself...you wont make it...and they wont help you ...they will string you along until you pass that "point of no return" where you owe all 22,500 of the tuition....thats right.
try paying for that while you work as a CNA...thats alot of money you could use for something else.
your man wont be too happy when you dont become a "nurse" either. another problem for you.
wise up and listen. get the straight dope right here....
stay away from this school and the others. Look into another field, there is another path for you.
