america's test kitchen sold my address, did no notify me or give opt-out option brookline Massachusetts

AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN: i signed up to receive emails and ordered a cookbook. they turned around and sold my name/address to multiple outside agencies for an undisclosed sum. there was no warning when i signed up that they would sell, nor was there an opt-out button. in the last 2 days i have recieved 3 junk mail " offers". when i  called to complain, they said " well, it will take a couple of weeks to get your name off". however, there will be probably YEARS before I get off the crap list I have now been placed on. i have spent my entire adult life avoiding crappy mailing lists, and now due to their greed I find myself with the unenviable duty of trying to contact EACH of the current mailers and get my address removed. WARNING!
