I became suspicous when she was not forthcoming with pedigrees and the names of the parents and she refused to take payment via paypal and wanted Western Union or direct transfer to Chase Bank. PayPal would have been the safer way to pay. I found out the red flags were really there while looking her up on this site. Buyer Beware. She promises show quality pups, but gives excuses on why she could not provide pedigrees. No pics available on the parents of some of the pups.

I must post an apology or be sued according to her lawyer, I made NO false statements and I do not understand the purpose of this website if not to protect and enlighten others and to prevent them from making the same mistakes or as in my case, almost mistakes.... I became enlightened BEFORE I made a possible mistake. The puppy I was interested in was gorgeous! Her pic was fantastic. I wanted to buy her, but I refused to do so without more info on the parents, pedigrees and pics. puppyfind states on their website to never buy a dog using western union as this cannot be traced. It states it as a possible scam. I am sure there are many satisfied customers who have bought Ms Windham's dogs. I was not one of them as I never bought the dog. I stated my true experience and I have made no false comments and I stand behind my statements as they are true and unbiased. The letter her lawyer sent me had a false statement that the puppy was sold before I could buy it. Not true. I did not pursue the sale when the info I requested was not forthcoming. Please do not read any defamation in my statements as they were not meant to harm or hurt Ms Windham but to enlighten someone else in the same boat. I used this ripoffreport as I envisioned it was intended. I made no false statements. I will not be making anymore statements on this matter on this site. And I have made no statements on any other site on this matter or about Ms Windham.

Dear Kevin A. Forsberg,

This email is in reference to the letter regarding the matter with Amy Windham. My friend and I were going to buy a dog from Ms Windham. Both of us talked to her, both of us asked for pedigrees. We were given excuse after excuse on why she could not provide one. So we asked for name and registration number of the parents so we could go online at akc.org and purchase with our money a pedigree of the parents. Neither one of us has ever paid that much money for a dog without seeing a pedigree on the dog or the parents. We were denied the names of the parents. She also refused to let us pay on Paypal seperately. My friend lives in SC and I live in Texas so to get Ms Windham the money she asked for as soon as she asked for it, we needed to pay via paypal. We were denied this option with Ms Windham specifically asking to be paid via Western Union or a direct transfer to her bank. She has multiple websites on the internet and has changed her website addy and phone number again after we decided not to deal with her. The puppy was not sold before we finished the deal, we simply decided she was not going to work out for us as our best bet for a show puppy. After we did not pay for the puppy due to lack of pedigree she did call to say she had put one together online and it was a partial one. I have not stated any untrue statements about Ms Windham, nor will I in the future. All I can do is apologize for telling the truth, because that is what I did. I made no false statements against her as I told the truth about my experience with her. Period. I simply could not deal with someone who was not forthcoming with pedigrees and pictures on a $1400 dog (plus shipping expenses). I later found the other accusations against her on the ripoffreport website and shared my truthful experience. Weeks later while still searching dog ads I came across a puppy I liked the picture of and went to the website. It was another website for Ms Windham with another phone number. Obviously this brought up many more red flags as I had already seen several websites looking identical with the same picture of Ms Windham but different web addy and different phone number. So sir I have stated the truth and I have made no false accusations against your client.

Sincerely,
Amy Hays
