applebee's lengthy delay for poor food, badly cooked, no taste and lousy customer service. no follow up. they should re name themselves "Wanna bee's" Internet

It was probably my fault for choosing this restaurant but I was very hungry and they were closest.  The over 50 minutes wait produced undercooked shrimp and over cooked steak both of which were tasteless.  The server apologized and seemed embarrassed to be there.  The manager reduced the bill but the bad taste (literally) stayed in our mouths.  After calling the company we were promiosed call backs- too many times.  It never happened.  They could care less.  We guess that they spend more time on television promoting "Hollywood" attractive dining experiences that comes off less than a greasy spoon.  Maybe they'll close up after the last person eats there and joins the never to come back crowd.  Or, maybe they cater to memory deficient seniors who forgot how food should taste, or how diners should be treated.  There is no excuse for not pretending they're sorry.  But, maybe that's the only honest thing about them- they could care less...and it shows.
