We were first visited by A & E Factory Service who charged us $85 to tell us the wrong part we supposedly needed. If he would have spent 30 seconds looking at the range he would have known the valve was shut off and that's why it wouldn't work! (A & E is another story and another report we have filed on ripoff). Since he said the part was going to cost $300 we decided to order it online to save $$. We went to ApplianceZone.com and placed the order. Then my husband got up, went to the kitchen, took one more look at the range and saw the lever was turned off. He promptly went back to the computer (within 5 minutes) to cancel the order. They said they couldn't cancel orders! They tried to tell us they were so fast and efficient the order had already been processed. We pressed hard and then they said to "fill out this online form to cancel"--which we did. We expressly told them not to charge our account. They did anyway-the same day. We figured they would just refund the money since we had cancelled and that would be the end of it. Ha! Over a week later we get an email stating they are shipping the part! I immediately contacted them by live chat as they are afraid to post a phone number. I spoke with two different women...Joy and Paula. Both were exceedingly nasty and rude. They just kept repeating "we can't cancel orders," "you're the one who ordered it, not us!" I told her she left a sour taste in my mouth and she said "you sure do." I told her they wouldn't be in business long with the way they treated customers. They are not willing to do anything out of their way except take your money. They were unphased. I then contacted my bank and filled out a dispute form, but after reading numerous complaints on ripoff, consumer affair sites and others, I think it is futile. We will see what happens. Whatever you do, do not do business with these freaks. They are dishonest, nasty, greedy, ignorant and should be prevented from defrauding the public on the Web.
