OMG! Apptology and their main characters Rich Foreman (CEO, located in Sacramento) and his "VP of Sales" Long Nguyen (located in Silicon Valley) are just a couple of guy, hustling people who want to get their mobile app developed.

So my story.  I was orginally quoted for a block of 10 hours, at $75.00 an hour and told maybe 10-20 hours to reskin and bug fix my app.  I was given a six week time frame for completion.  I was also told that their programming staff was US based.  Later, I found out that their "management" was based in teh US but their programmers were off short.

Thorughout the project, we went through several "program managers", come in the US, more offshore.  We heard a couple of them got fired, based upon how they handled our project.  Finally, after almost six month.... not six weeks, but months... did we get our new mobile app launched.  They got a bill for 90 hours!!  We were told that we would be notified after each block of 10 hours was used.  That never happened.  And Long Nguyen, told me he was sorry that they did not follow what our agreement was and that any future engagement, he personally would handle our account.

So after weeks of negotiating, we settled on a lesser amout but really felt like they took advantage of us.

Now that we found a bug in their programming, they want me to pay them another 10 hours for them to fix their screw up.  Believe that??

These two guys are really jokers.  If you want people to develop your mobile app who act like kindergardners, hire them.  If you want a real company, run from Rich Foreman, Long Nguyen and the Apptology company!!

From Basecamp (our project  managment tool), here is the last exchange between our team and their project manager:

Ok thanks – let’s go ahead and make the permission change only and re-upload with the same listing information + images. We will test on our own for now after the permission changes. thanks

Michael E. B
Director of User Interface

Done! We've changed permissions and upload a new app on Google without any change in meta data. Please find attached screenshot annotated on "794" more devices added.

Let me know if you require any other help from our end.
