Ripoff Reports discussions with the company have uncovered an ongoing commitment to total customer satisfaction. You can expect to have any questions or concerns that you have with them to be answered and resolved in a timely manner. They have shown us their customer service process, and it reflects a desire to serve customers, as well as fix problems.
The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire.
The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.

APX Alarm Deceptive Advertising By APX Alarm Representative At My Door South Jordan, Utah
Some APX Alarm guy knocked on our door and rang our doorbell at the same time and did this a couple times before we got to the door. He was wearing a GE hat and said he was a GE rep checking on our Silverline Security system installation, and asked when it had been installed. Our system was installed by Silverline Security a couple years ago and we've been super happy with them and their services, so we were wondering why this guy was telling us our system was out of date and had to be replaced. He was pretty aggressive, so I returned fire and asked for credentials and more info, but all he had was a clipboard with paper, and it had APX Alarm printed on it. I was pretty upset and I think I scared him, because he turned red and walked away quickly before I was done. After doing some checking, it turns out this is an illegal way to solicit business from alarm system owners and the police said they can be cited and fined for this type of sales pitch. APX Alarm systems refused to acknowledge that their reps would ever do this. Two of our neighbors had the same pitch and fortunately didn't get suckered in by APX. We like GE products, but don' want to get ripped off by fraudulent sales reps or through scare tactics, especially when they are illegal!
