On or about August 2009 Apex Alarm Systems installed a home security system in our home that we had instantly had problems with. The sensor kept falling off the doors false alarms with we were not notified of until severals days to weeks later, if at all. Upon contacting Apex with the problems we were told to contact Monitronics who told us that they were not responable for that type service. All we could get was the run around from both companies. When we finally did get Apex to accept it was there problem they scheduled a service tech to some and fix the problem. The service department then call to cancel the appointment due to the only service tech that they said was in the area was out due to an injury and would have to rescheule. We did and the next service date he did not even show up. They next service call we had a neighbor to go to the house to let the service tech in due to us being out of town and the service person told us he could not enter the house without the homeowners being home, which the scheduling department was aware of when we made the appointment. This has been an on going problem. And sence May of 2010 until august 2010 we havent had coverage in our home, and Monitronics is still drafting our account on a mounthly basis. We were informed that we would be credited for the mounths we were without coverage, but are as yet to see any such credit. My best advice to anyone looking for a security system, is to steer clear of APX/APEX alarm systems. Sincerely, Larry Clifton
