We came in from Southern Ohio to purchase a used Lincoln Aviator from Arlington Nissan. The Lincoln Aviator would not start and they had to jump the battery...... When test driving the ABS brake light came on so we asked about the issue and was told that it was more then likely a sensor. That the Lincoln Aviator had be inspected by their mechanic. We had decided not to purchase the Lincoln Aviator because of this issue so the sales manager (Edwardo Jordan) came into the office and told us he would get the Lincoln Aviator into the shop but it would be 3 days.

We told him we was not able to stay in Chicago another 3 days so he decided that he would put into writing that we would beable to take the Lincoln Aviator to a Lincoln Dealership in our home town. So we sit and discussed the issue for awhile. Then the salesman and the sales manager came back in a we told him we had concerns considering we had a 9 hour trip back to Southern Ohio. This is where it gets good.....

The sales manager (Edwardo Jordan) told us that the dealership COULD NOT and would not sale us a vehicle that was not road worthy because this sets them up for a lawsuit....So after we got everything in writing and was assured it was nothing serious because of the issue of a lawsuit for the dealership we paid cash in hand for the Lincoln Aviator. Arlington Nissan was also suppose to put a new battery in the Lincoln Aviator but after we got home we realized the battery was never replaced.....
We made it home to Southern Ohio and made a appointment for the Lincoln Aviator to be put in the garage at Fannin Linocln Dealership in Ashland Ky.

We had to sit more then 4 hours before they came out and informed us the Lincoln Aviator needed a new wheel bearing on the drivers side and that was the issue with the ABS sensor light coming on. Then they informed us that the Lincoln Aviator was not driveable and that the dealership should have never let us drive this vehicle off the car lot.......That we could have been in a terrible wreck or even killed..

As Fannin Lincoln Dealerships Mechanic informed us that if Arlington Nissans Mechanic had INSPECTED this Lincoln Avaitor they would have seen the issue with the wheel bearing........This was on a Friday... So Fannin Lincoln Dealership brought us home (Nice car dealership) and we was without a vehicle. Missy is the young lady we dealt with at Fannin and she tried twice on Friday to get Invoice Number for payment from Arlington Nissan and her calls was never returned.

Missy then tried Saturday with no response....Missy called us Monday and informed us that she could not get the Sales Manager to return her calls....So we had to start calling....First of all the Sales Manager (Edwardo Jordan) is VERY RUDE!!! He never asked if we had a safe trip home, liked the Lincoln, If the Lincoln was doing ok, if we got the lincoln in the garage, he asked Nothing...And in the phone calls I had with him was just unreal his attitude towards me ...here I just paid cash in hand for a lincoln off his lot and the treatment I received was very uncalled for.......

Ok onto the point we had to threaten to get a Attorney to finally get payment for the service of the ABS issue that we had in writing from the Sales Manager (Edwardo Jordan)...This was almost 7 days later....We never received a apologize from Arlington Nissan for this issue....

I had never done one of these reviews but I just think its terrible as bad as the economy is and so many car dealerships are begging for your business and to get treatment from Arlington Nissan like we did.....I would NEVER buy another vehicle from this Dealership and I would warn others not to purchase from Arlington Nissan either.....I guess Arlington Nissan is doing so well in this bad economy that they do not need to worry about there customers.....

Why Not Use a Local Dealer?

AUTHOR: Karl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 26, 2009

Since you like the local Lincoln dealer why didn't you ask them to find you an Aviator? These cars are available in auctions and the local dealer could have found one. The fact that the battery was dead and the ABS light was on was an indication that they had not checked out the car. I would have turned around and gone back home. Actually I would have not driven 9 hours to find a domestic car in the first place when you have a local Lincoln dealer.
