Mr. Winter's performed an erronous authentication report which cost me $300. The assistant curator at the windsor castle print room verified it to me with a email. After finding that his conclusion was not backed by the windsor casthe staff in many ways. I asked for a refund of the $300 for authentication fee, $300 for the unperformed certification report fee and $200 for the unperformed apprasel fee. Mr. Winter called me a bad investor, a liar and many other things thru email but he totally avoids my calls and has yet to return a single call. His website claims worldwide locations and expertise and him and his secretary are the only ones that you might get a hold of until you pay them and they start to play games. This company has made me worry about doing bussiness over the internet and taugh me a very hard lesson. Nice website designs, expert claims, charming and promising phone calls at first but after money is collected you better watch out. Next time I'll do bussiness in person.

AUTHOR: Admin. Art Experts - (United States of America)

Everyone hopes to find "the big one".  A lost painting that is going to hit the media waves as being the most sensational story of the year!  A way to bring in many millions of dollars to put their dreams into reality!

The reality is, that  sure, there are a lot of paintings that are unearthed from someone's attic, or behind another painting, etc., and we at Art Experts Inc. have helped discover many! We continue to hope to be in the lime-light as having identified such important artwork. What a coup it would be for all involved!

Some people are eager to pay us to find out if their artwork find is authentic even though sometimes signs abound that the artwork is of no real value.  But they pay no heed and want expert proof. We are unaware of the condition the artwork is in, until the client pays us and images of the artwork are received, and research takes place.  At that point, we thoroughly scrutinize the artwork, taking a close hard look at the various symbols or marks on the artwork if present. Sometimes details are pretty much invisible to the naked eye, but our advanced magnification equipment can detect irregularities.  However, researchers don't work for free. It is tedious, labourious work. Therefore we need to charge for our services. We run a business.

So when our research ultimately points to the fact that the client's artwork is a replica, or fake or a lithograph copy of a great work of art (of which there could be thousands produced) the client's dreams of quick money are dashed.  So they get upset.  They don't want to hear our opinion and so dismiss us and accuse us of ripping them off. This is not the case.

We are simply the messenger. We are sorry Mr. Raphael is disappointed that his artwork complete with coffee stains and obvious trademark printing on the verso has been found to be a souvenir item reproduced from the printers at the Royal Collection, UK.

We think he should fault the person who sold this artwork to him; that's who ripped him off.
