My mom recently purchased a gift certificate from Jillian Buchanan at Art of Massage in The Villages, FL as a gift for me.
I called Ms. Buchanan to schedule an appointment and she abruptly said "Hold your horses" since she was driving and had to pull over. She then proceeded to bark "Now what do you want?!"
Next, she told me she is booked up for at least a week and that she does not work afternoons, evenings, or weekends after noon, even though she told my mom that she is flexible and she advertises that she is available 8-6pm daily.
She quickly became HOSTILE on the phone. Needless to say, I would never want a massage from an erratic person who is so incredibly rude and inappropriate.
I requested to please return my gift card and she replied with "No! You can have the massage!"
I'm still in shock, hours later. Beware, this is a very sick individual.

I, Jillian Buchanan, LMT FL #56129 as well as FL RN #9298471. I believe that when a young girl called me on Jan 26th, 2015- do not remember her name. She had a gift certificate puchased by her Mom and she desired to use it late in the day only on Saturdays and Sundays. I work every day of the week , and help all of my clients with their individual impairments. I generally will not do late in the day on the weekends, because that is my OWN personal time and time with my husband and dog. Otherwise, I do see anywhere from 3-9 people in a day during the week, so if it was an inconvenience for her to come in when I had an opening, then I actually said I will give you a massage later in the evening during the week or I will give the purchased massage to your Mom. I am not a sick individual, and have helped many people with their ailments including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, parkinsons, CVA's , DJD, and arthritis. You can personally ask a plethora of my clients for their opinion of who I am as a person.. Being a therapist since 2000 and a Registered Nurse since 1989, I feel that I am very good at being able to help people with their aches and pain with the use of my hands and knack for helping people without them going to a doctor for pills and pain relief......
