When I first contacted ASAP Motors, I was very excited that including processing time, I would be receiving my engine, a particularly difficult engine to find in good condition, in about a week. I spoke with Dina, who was very polite and patient as I verified all the facts about the engine, everything down to the engine code and the results of the testing.

I decided the timing and the price were right, and I was transferred to shipping/ordering to place my order. Andy in Shipping was wonderful. Polite every step of the way, all the way down to putting a hold on the engine, so it wouldn't be bought out from under me, while I checked the balance on my card and account.

But this is when I learned that even though the price was right, the business was wrong. I put through the order, they e-mailed a billing confirmation, which I faxed and called to verify. I even mailed a check out to my father who would be receiving the engine. But a week and a half later, I didn't here anything from them. Not even a call to verify that the engine was shipped. I called my father to see if the engine came and we just hadn't heard yet. He never heard anything either.

A few days later, I called ASAP Motors to inquire as to the status of the engine. And I found myself on the phone with Dina again. And what she told me appauled me. She told me that The engine went through testing before it went to ship and one of the cylinder heads was off camber. I asked why no one had notified me. She said someone must have and I had simply not answered. NO!

I checked my call log. No call had come through, answered or not from any number I didnt know what the call was about. And there was nothing from ASAP. I asked if there was any other engine they could ship out in it's place. And for those of you who can't read into forshadowing, they had none. And they weren't expecting any.

Later on, Dina Emplored for me to find my business with someone else where I'd be "happier" with the outcome. Trust me Dina, it won't be that hard.

I've had about $850 tied up waiting for this engine to come through. Luckily they hadn't charged us and I immedeately demanded for my order to be canceled.

Now what I didn't tell you is this; when I was on the phone trying to sort this out with Dina, I was treated horrendously. I was put on hold for more than half the time I was on the phone with her. Even after I told her I would not accept being put on hold again. So what did I do? I hung up and called back. I sat on hold for 2 minutes while I was being "transferred" to Dina. So I hung up and called again. I explained the situation briefly to the man who answered the phone and was transferred to Dina again, who was upset with me for hanging up on her! The Nerve! She continually puts me on hold then gets upset with me for not putting up with it.

And what's worse is I already tried to complain to ASAP Motors. Unfortunatlely, it turns out that I can't complain about the quality of service I was provided with by Dina. She's the GM. I can't go any higher than that. She sent me a "polite" e-mail about the kind words I had for Andy (who again, did an amazing job) and she apologized that ASAP Motors couldn't meet my needs.

That's when I searched and found out that I wasn't the only one having trouble with ASAP Motors and with Dina. I'm glad I got out when I did and I am very sympathetic for everyone not as furtunate.

asap rip-off continues for a while !!!!

Hi Michael, Yes your are one of the fortunate ones , my name is Dannie. Thank you for posting your story. I have been in business for 30 years serving & repairing my customers vehicles. I buy from many sources for new & used parts. And in the past years did a little business with ASAP Motors with no trouble. But about 3 years ago or so things changed - it seems asap finds it easier to sell you junk & not stand behind it, you see most people live out of state & will not come to Texas for their court trial that they so conveniently have access to, so the devised a system of defraud individuals with intent to just get the money & take you to court if you contest or stop payment of recieved JUNK, from God only knows who.

But it seems times have caught up with them. Texas Attorney General filed charges against them first part of the month "huray & hallalujiha" . Seems enough disgruntled victims
have complained to get action against ASAP.
From here its class action law suit with other victims who have lost a great deal in dealing with these Thugs. Not stopping until Dina & her crew are gone & broke.
So all you victims still wanting Justice for ASAP - get a hold of Texas Attorney General - Mr. Scott Clinton 713-223-5886 ext-115. If out of state e-mail your complaint. Let not quit now !!!! Justice will prevail if in God We Trust!!!!!
