Ashton and Weinberg Collection Firm Threatening Legal Action, Lawsuits and "Other Legal Actions." Greenville Rhode Island

They continue to call me and threaten me via vocie mail with legal action if I don't return their call. Each time they call its an "anonymous caller," or "restricted number," they use these tacticts to get you to answer the phone. The times i have answered they threaten me with a lawsuit if I don't pay them on a reported debt even though I explain I don't have a debt and whatever they're looking at is not accurate. Since I blocked their phone number they've used the above tactics to get through to my voicemail.

Ashton and Weinberg is NOT a law firm, has no right to threaten anyone with any legal action nor make threats about ruining your credit rating. I'm not sure about calling for collection purposes with a restricted number or anonymous number and the legality thereof. These people are unethical in their dealings and have made false advertising claims about their agency as well. The BBB has reports on them as well and has tried to obtain a response to their hyperbolic advertising claims, of course there is no response from Ashton and Weinberg. I hoping someone can shut these people down.
