I had a small credit card with a very low balance that I received right out of high school that went to collections with this company. I informed all associates that I was recording the phone call and that I would in no way respond to bulling tactics or threats of legal action. I have agreed multiple times to pay the balance in full IF they would send me written confirmation of the following: a statement of what is owed, confirmation of the debt from the original creditor, and a written agreement stating that once the payment was received and paid in full that AACC would remove themselves from my credit report.

Crystal stated that the company has never done so and could not provide me with any written documentation that stated as such. She then agreed that if a company could report to the credit agencies that they could remove themselves, but that her company has never done so. I asked her how long had she in fact been working for AACC and was given the answer of 6 months. I then stated that she was not well enough informed to make such a statement that AACC never has done so unless there was written policy stating this!! She didn't like that very much and threatened legal action.

I told her that she could threaten legal action all day long and that as soon as I played back the recordings that I had made of the conversations full of harrassing language that any judgement would be made to me and not them. She hung up! HAHA! Don't give in to these bottom feeders. Especially don't give them access to your checking account or savings accounts because they will rip you off. Needless to say a cease and assist letter is going their way and I will see them in court! If enough people stand up to these collection companies there wont be a need for them and orginal creditors will be forced to actually collect on accounts for themselves and stop taking advantage of the "little man". Stand up and say its not good enough!

WHY DONT U DO THIS

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, May 17, 2009

Since they probably never sent you anything in the mail and you made it so hard on yourself just send a cease and desist letter make a complaint with the Attorney general and cc COPY TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL and go about your merry way. If you win a judgment you might have to also pay any taxes and other taxes from other people since they are a LLC.
