I was shot during an armed robbery on OCT 13 , 2012. Sent in my claim to assurant following the directions they sent me. Agent Melissa called me and said "oh we need your w-2 from 2007...because you will be paid based on your income when you got the policy. I sent them the W-2 .. I called them a week later they said , "oh we need your treatment records from the hospital" ..none of this is mentioned in the instructions for filing a claim , the doctor filled out the form they gave me for him to fill out. I went to the hospital obtained the treatment records and faxed them into ASSURANT on NOV 26 , 2012.... Today Dec 12, 2012 i called them and was told "we need the hospital to send the records in the mail" what???? what is the difference!!!! and if there is a problem why wasn't i contacted....so i have been off of work for almost 2 months and have not received a dime from them!!! dont buy anything from these jack-offs
