I used to like asurion, they had good customer support and actually cared in the past. Now they are a huge corporate entity hiding behind their website and phone menu.

It takes unnecessarily long to get through the system, and after requiring you to enter your phone number, hear it back slowly and confirm, and then going through the options for technical support, Latricia answers the phone and asks about the number i was calling about again anyways.

Its a huge run around and turn off for someone that runs business. I believe customer service is the backbone of every company. I now realize the only way they stay in business is that they rely on people buying expensive phones and being worried or scared so they get scammed into the service. While asurion hopes they never call or need a replacement and therefore avoid the horrible customer service.

It took me 25 minutes to do a claim and get it verified. received phone 3 days later. and after a week of using, and doing hard resets, wiping phone completely, i realize its a hardware issue, not software.

I called in today to get technical support. briefly explained my phone was rebooting on its own and extremely slow and buggy when opening and closing even basic apps, and charging is taking 2-3 times longer than it did with my previous phone of exact same make and model. Latricia says she can only note the account but they (technical support) is closed and to call back tomorrow, i explained the phone system took forever so if possible, could i have another number to which she replied, just call the same number, thats the only one and we will have to transfer you. To which i replied your phone system isnt the most friendly, is it possible to request a call back in the morning when they are available while you are noting the account. she said we dont do call backs and before i could speak, she hung up on me.

Wow.... You really are truly better off saving the monthly and buying a new phone or used replacement off some third party or auction or craigslist, anything to avoid and give money to a business like this.
