We signed a contract with Atlantic Marcite on Jan 19 & we were told they would start working the following week .A month went by.asked them to have  it done before company came said yes, however  company came & gone. pool not done.
the pool  finally done March 25th. with a promise  they would bring the  chlorinator &   & the robotic cleaner a month later.  they could not go in pool for a month.
April 25th came no one came . we started to call them & left massages.seldom do they answer phone. when they called they always had an excuse for them not coming.  again I asked  to please have it done since my daughter & her family were visiting us, the son said to me " what is the  big rush to have this pool done"
they did the pool deck & two days later the stain start to peel & the old cracks showed up. [continued below]....
..... we called, the father came acting like he was our best friend & said no problem we will have that fixed. By now we had paid the contract in full.
Finally on June 11th they delivered the chlorinator & hooked it up on June 16 & told us he would order the robotic cleaner &  he would bring it over as soon as he got it.two weeks later he informed us that he would not give us the robot that we would have to split the cost. he said the company that sold the robot would not give him credit & he did not have the cash to pay for it.On the contract it say they were giving it to us for free if we agreed to show the pool to future clients.Michael informed me that his father did not know what he was talking about.they redid the deck & now it looks worst then before.they have not returned our calls for the past week.

Another dissastisfied customer

We had our pool and deck re-done by Atlantic Marcite.  They added a swimout to our pool and we were told no permit was needed for the swimout (wrong), so it was never inspected by the city.  The swimout is now cracking my pool which never had a crack in it prior to their work.  They came out to repair the crack and did a very amature patch job.  Now I have a bad looking patch job in my new diamond bright.  After the patch job, the crack has now expanded above and below the patch.  The pool was leaking so bad I fanally had to cover the crack with white pool epoxy abouve and below the patch.  So now my new blue diamond brite has a darker blue patch and white epoxy.  They also added a waterfall which was also built incorrectly.

I filed a lawsuit against Atlantic Marcite and my attorney had a difficult time figuring out who to sue as Atlantic Marcite has several different entities with Atlantic Marcite in the name.  He finally figured out which one to sue and they were served.  They never responded to the lawsuit, so I will get a final judgement by default.  The problem is, there are 17 other judgements in front of mine totaling well into the six digits.
My attorney told me I will probably never see my over $14,000 because I have 17 judgements ahead of mine.  These judgements date back to 2006 in five counties WPB, Broward, Miami Dade, Orange and I don't remember the last county.  Atlantic Marcite did not respond to any of these lawsuites.

They cashed my checks at a check cashing place, so no bank account to be found.  They are no longer located at the address on their website and operate out of a PO Box, which they call their suit.

Just about everything that happened to Mr. Francis also happened to me.  I signed the contract in July of 2009 and was told that the pool would be done in 10 days, well it was built in 10 days of working, but the 10 days they worked on my pool spanned 4 months.  they would not answer phone calls when I was calling to see where the workers were.  I called Michael from a number he would not recognize and and spoke with a fake accent acting like a new customer.  He called that number back within a couple of minutes.

In reference to Atlantic Marcite...

I just saw the comments made about Atlantic Marcite and about Michael and Neil Rubin and you are wrong!! 

I have lived in Miami for 32 years and I have never had such good service before. I had 4 different pool companies give me a quote including Atlantic Marcite on resurfacing my pool. All 4 quotes were close as far as price but Atlantic Marcite doubled the guarantee. The other 3 companies gave me a 5 year guarantee on the Diamond Brite  Atlantic Marcite gave me a 10 year guarantee on the materials and on the labor!

Their website is gorgeous! Very impressive.

We decided on a start date, which was Jan 9, 2012, and the job started on Jan 9, 2012. They kept me informed of what was going to happen every day, and every day exactly what they said actually happened! I truly could not be more pleased.

Every time I called, they answered. Both Michael and Neil additionally gave me their cell phones and I called and they answered.
 
Their workers were nice and polite and cleaned up after themselves every day. I still cannot believe what an outstanding experience this was.
 
I have recommended Atlantic Marcite to 2 different people in the past month and they are now as thrilled as I am. I will continue to recommend this company.

It is not a normal thing for me to take the time to write stuff like this, but when there is finally a good, morale company out there and doing an outstanding job...they should get credit for that. And Atlantic Marcite is one of those companies.

This Customers statements are completly false. When we completed Mr. Francis is swimming pool at 8759 sw 49th st in coopercity. We advised him his chemicals were un bllance and we could not install the salt system untill it was balanced. Also his project was completed in a timely manner and if there was any delay it was becuase of the back order on the tile he had selected. His deck was completed per code, and within a certain amount of time  there were cracks because of the structure and had nothing to do with our work. The customer was advised of this and we told him we will fix it free of charge and that is what we did. All in all Mr. Francis is upset becuase we would not give him a $700 electronic cleaner that he felt is due to him. We advised him we crossed off the cleaner on date of signature becuase we gave him a $2,000 discount so we could use his pool as a show pool. Mr. francis decided not to understand that and now we are left with a customer wanting freebies. We offered him the cleaner advertised on our website that will hook up into his vacline and  he declined. We completed his pool/deck and it looks absoutley beautiful. We would like to Mr. Francis to hold up his end of the deal and let us use his pool as a show pool as what we agreed. He will here from our attorney regarding that.  We try to satisfy every customer and that is why we have done over 50,000 swimming pools in Sout Florida.
