Thieves, AUTHORIZE.NET are petty thieves.

I filled out their FREE application.

I was denied the internal Merchant Processing Services and was told to make a contract with an outsie Merchant Processor so that I could use the AUTHORIZE.NET gateway.

I refused and stopped communication with AUTHORIZE.NET

Needless to say, I never authorized them to charge me anything, nor did I use any of their services what so ever.

Unbeknownst to me they proceeded to charge me fees that I never authorized, totalling $301.70 stolen from my checking account by AUTHORIZE.NET.

All the meanwhile, they kept sending me emails letting me know that they are aware that I am not using their services, and instructing me that to start using their services, I have to either sign the Merchant Processor Agreement, which I never signed, and that I have to activate my account, which I never activated.

Despite these telling emails which are clear evienc that not only did I not authorize any charges or utilize any of their services but that they were also fully aware of it.  At the same time, they never sent me any receipts for any of the unauthorized charges they made to my checking account.

I called them to resolve this and let them know that these charges are a mistake since I never authorized the charges, nor signed their agreement, nor used any of their services.

They refused to return to me my money that they stole from me and told me I could terminate my account.  I terminated my account (which I never wanted in the first place, nor knew I had) and I filed a claim with my bank to retrieve the money that AUTHORIZE.NET stole from me.

During this time, a few days after terminating the account that I didn't know I had, AUTHORIZE.NET charged me again!

They also sent fraudulent or baseless documents in the bank dispute in their attempt to prove that they are entitled to the money they stole from me.  Needless to say they miserably failed to meet the burden a business has to prove entitlement to funds:

  • They could not show any usage records, as I never used any of their services.
  • They could not show any signed Merchant Service Agreement as I never signed any such agreement
  • And they could not show any activity or activation of account, since I never activated my account

Needless to say, they are continuing their disgraceful defense of their theft instead of just taking responsibility for one of their thieving criminal employees.

My next step is to sue them in court as I cannot tolerate theft, even if it's petty corporate theft.

Needless to say, STAY AWAY FROM AUTHORIZE.NET, they will steal your money.
