auto consultants are automobile sellers in the state of Ohio and also on e-bay under user name lydmed.  On Sept. 10,2012 I won the bid on an 1971 triumph car .  prior to submitting a bid I read the description and even e-mailed the seller about the cars overall condition, asking explicitly the condition of the body panels ( fenders, doors, etc.) and if there was any RUST on them.  He responded they were in excellent condtion with no rust and that it was a Florida vehicle.  So I proceeded to bid with assurrance this car was in good condition and in correct running order.  After winning the bid and recieving the car I found a note attached to the steering wheel explaining how I had to start the car not in the normal way and then discovered that the 2 front and rear fenders were aftermarket fiberglass.  I now realized why he said the fenders were rust FREE.  He totally misrepresented this car in everyway.  Upon contacting e-bay they told me this incident was between me and the seller.  The worst thing is that I now own a car that was totally misrepresented by the seller.  The sad thing is he knew this car had fiberglass fenders and yet failed to disclose this information even after being asked about them.  He's asked me how i was going to rate him on e-bay.  This was his only concern at this time not taking back this car that wasn't anything like he described.  Lesson learned if buying a car on e-bay before paying for it have the stipulation that the car be inspected  FIRST.  Finally be very careful about buying by a vehicle from  auto consultants at 4422 River St. Willoughby, ohio 44094

The fenders comment

AUTHOR: JustMike - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, April 21, 2016

Since you were said car seller, you knew or should have known that the fenders were not original.  Hence it is safe to assume that the fenders were replaced while under your care.  It's obvious that the fenders were not replaced with the aftermarket parts before you were born.   As a result, you paid the consequences; it's only fair.

I just wanted to comment on this 'report'.  I've dealt with John on Ebay and found him VERY honest and forthcoming about the car I was interested in.  I ended up not buying the car, but he was very friendly and understanding.  I would DEFINITELY buy a car from him in the future without ANY hesitation whatsoever.  :D

This issue was SETTLED, Richard is not a man of his word

AUTHOR: John - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Richard purchased a 1971 Triumph automobile from my company. He asked many questions before purchasing and and I answered them all to the best of my ability.

He recieved the car and all appeared well. Several days later, he called me screaming and swearing, after he decided that the fenders of the car weren't original but instead reproductions. I would have no way to have known this. The car was built 6 years before I was born, and I certainly didn't have any idea.

Despite this, I agreed to SETTLE this dispute with Richard. I sent him a rather large CHECK in order to settle this disagreement. He agreed to this settlement, cashed my check and agreed this would be the end of it. He then went back on his word and filed this report and claims he was taken advantage of. This is not true; this matter was settled between gentlemen (or so I thought).

Richard doesn't mention this settlement between us anywhere in his report on this site, of course.

When People Do STUPID Things....

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

POSTED: Sunday, August 18, 2013

...THEY agree to take on all the risks!  EVERYBODY has heard of the horror stories of buying a used car locally.  Then somebody comes up with this incredibly dumb, stupid idea of sending off your money to buy a USED CAR sight unseen and then they wail the day away when the junk comes to their doorstep.  This seller was simply hanging around waiting for the day some sucker with their tongue hanging out would agree to anything and throw common sense out the window all for a stupid car.  YOU took on all the risks by throwing common sense out the window.  Now, enjoy your junk.
