James Kresbach a Sales Rep for Auto Search Technologies sold me an s****.>
The Site was built in Flash which Google does not recognize, the load time far too long, and when I discussed making changes to correct the problems with Russell Chorlton and Chris Jackson, they were too busy drumming up new business at trade shows to even consider taking care of an existing paying customer. The bottom line is they sold me a "bill of goods" all the while trying to appear like they were a blessing from God, God bless this, God bless me, its all a smoke screen, they sign you up collect the money and forget about you and look for new customers. I even resorted to offering to pay them to correct the site, and they refuse to get back to me. My $500 "1980s" site as they referred to it outperformed their site by 50:01,
They have cost me money, stress and time, they have no respect to the customer after they collect their money, They never lived up to their end of our agreement
Mr. Jackson the CEO answered a BBB complaint, he was rarely involved after the initial design, there were many times I was told outright that the primary staff of AST was at another “Buy Here Pay Here” dealer convention, and were unavailable, like I stated in my complaint they were much more interested in getting new customers then taking care of existing clientele, I have dozens of emails voicing my concerns about the site, its slow speed, high bounce rates, low conversion percentages, its overall design was an error yes, but they were the professionals, it was up to them to build a site that functioned in a manner that would command traffic through organic SEO, part of their sales pitch was “let’s do a search” on Google that an average Auto consumer would use to locate a dealership, and they did “Buy Here Pay Here Phoenix” and they then did the same in Dallas, and in both cases a site they built came up at the top of the list organically, they used the SEO philosophy of the basis for their site platform as a means to convince me to buy in.
They stated they would build “The Mother of All Sites” for some extra money, so I bought in deeper, and then I researched for what I considered at the time to be a very nice site, I gave them a link to the site, and they agreed to build it, regardless of how detrimental a site like this would be relative to organic searches, I requested pricing in HTML 5 and they never responded, I was concerned when they told me that flash was not the best wat to build it, but they used an example of how flash and HTLM5 communicate with browsers. They never stated once that the site was not going to give me the results which I paid for.
After the site was launched and I loss all of my organic page listings on Google by making the mistake of letting them take over my seasoned URL, they made no attempt to redirect those links, it was only until later did I even know it was possible, however I trusted that they knew what they were doing.
The Site failed to gain traction after several months, during which and after, I lost a lot of leads, and then I requested that they re-design the site or eliminate the flash scenes, they never responded. They wanted me to provide them with a design to replace the flash scenes, when all they needed to do was to convert one of the scenes to a static design and eliminate the all the flash on the site.
When all else failed, and I knew I had to scrap the site, I had hoped that by requesting them to build me a new responsive site would be a great way to Segway the relationship into a positive manner, yet they failed to follow up once again.
I have seen no effort on their part to remedy my concerns, they shoot an email out, make commitments then drop the ball.
I am not alone, I know several other dealers that have had poor experiences with AST, they should make the effort as I am to voice their concerns.
