My check engine light came onto a half weeks later after purchasing the vehicle at Auto star. I take it back to the dealership to José in Surgi and told them that my check engine light was on and they told me that they are going to referred their mechanic to me. I was told that it's my is my car so that I will have to pay for the problems the mechanic told me that it will be $527 to fix. I had just put it down $2000 for this car and pay $200 for the first payment was the first payment was not due yet but I pay $200 anyway. On the paperwork DCS is but as for coming for common courtesy and for good business I thought that they would be for 30 days offered to fix the problem but instead they're not doing anything about it as it is a problem. So now I have to come up with $527 to fix the problem plus $200 for my first for my next payment and also $20 for my tags and it's like I'm dishing out money after money after money and these men don't care. Surgi told me that everything was would be okay that there's is minor problems it's probably only cost five dollars for sensor which that was not the case and I have to come up with more than five dollars for this vehicle that I purchased a BMW 2005. I feel like I got screwed and also feel helpless in this situation because as a Georgica some Silverlock there's nothing that I can do about it but fix the problem and I'm stuck with the car I can even bring the car back. The people at this company do not care his name is José he's the manager and surge is the sales person they don't care that I have to dish out all this money that I do not have like that even if I did have it who wants to keep dishing out money when they don't have to. It's unfortunate that I had this bad experience at auto store I thought that they will be professional and that they would do good business but I was disappointed by them because they didn't. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy vehicle from auto star because of the situation and because of what they stand for these men are not doing right by customers after purchasing a vehicle. If you do purchase the car from auto star you definitely would be stuck with the problems even if you purchased a car in less than 30 days.

What is DCS?

"I've spoke with several people and no one has heard of this kind of treatment."

It is not uncommon to be treated that way on an AS-IS sale from a used auto dealer. Apparently the people you spoke with don't have much in the way of life's experience.

"On the paperwork DCS is but as for coming for common courtesy and for good business I thought that they would be for 30 days offered to fix the problem but instead they're not doing anything about it as it is a problem."

It appears that you expected a 30-day unwritten warranty. An unwritten agreement has no value. What is DCS?

Not my first time

This is not my first time buying a used car. i've never experienced a situation like this at a used dealership. California is a better state for buying vehicles because consumers are protected from dealers like the recent one I have experienced. The cars I've bought in the past, I didn't have any problems with the car or service. I've spoke with several people and no one has heard of this kind of treatment. Most dealership give you at least 30 days to enjoy your vehicle without problems. I can afford my car but not being ripped off. If that's something you can deal with and enjoy awesome for you. I have not received tags yet and the car needs repair. Is that justice, I don't think so.

Is this your very first vehicle purchase?

Based on your post, it looks like you have never purchased any used vehicle before this current one, right?

When you buy a vehicle it is yours to maintain at your expense unless you have a written warranty. For a vehicle that old, you are not likely to have a written warranty. It doesn't matter what the sales rep told you - it only matters what is in writting in your contract.

By the way, you don't have to go back to the dealer that sold you the car, you can go to any reputable mechanic. You might find out that the mechanic that is affliated with that dealership is either 1) high priced or 2) not very good at their work or 3) both high priced and not very good. Those types of dealerships generally have crummy mechanics associated with them. If you take your car to a real mechanic then you will get a better repair job.

If you can't afford the repairs on your car, then you need to rethink your purchase. Sell the car to someone that can afford it and wait until you are in a position to purchase a vehicle you can afford. BMW's are known for needing extensive repairs all the time. For your next vehicle, check out the reputation of the car manufacturer before you purchase. Good luck.
