AVG Technological USA, Inc anti-virus software doesn't honor 30 day money back policy Chelmsford, Massachusetts

I bought the software from Walmart for 40 dollars, it was not compatible.  I could not use my computer as normal, I had to uninstall and reinstall other software, when I asked for a refund....  AVG just said to take back to Walmart.  Walmart will not refund computer software  back if it is opened, and will only replace with the same.  AVG reps offered to "send" to some department of some kind,  the second time, high priority I was told.  Was told I waiting for approval of some kind, and that I would receive an email shortly concerning this.  Well it is 4 days later and no email.  Today will my third attempt attempt to settle this.  The reps are ineffective in athorizing a refund when you buy at least from the third party.
