Vince,

AUTHOR: Karl - ()

Since the Egyptian people were clever enough to use Facebook in order to successfully overthrow their government, wouldn't it be logical to conclude that the American people could also use Facebook in order to get a movement started that would have all Americans cancel their checking accounts and savings accounts at all of the publicly held banks in America?

You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: REVOLUTION IN CAIRO, and watch that documentary on the web for proof that a small group of clever Egyptians used Facebook in an effort to successfully topple their government.

Have a great weekend, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook!

He'll Never Understand...

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

This idiot cannot even write a sentence, let along an entire paragraph without run on sentences, lack of punctuation and correct grammar.  He thinks he can borrow his way to prosperity as if living on credit cards means being rich.  There are probably alot of families in his neighborhood who can use some money.  Perhaps he should offer to pay the family of a third grader to teach him the basics of sentence structure, grammar and punctuation.  To be a grown man and write like that is quite sad.

"Your on target"

The word is you're NOT your.

You're a credit risk; therefore, BOA doesn't want your business.

Vince,

The big banks can make more money, with much less risk, from customers who have checking accounts by assessing overdraft fees. A bank cannot control a customer who has a credit card, because the account holder can decide not to pay. However, the bank can control customers who have checking accounts and take money out of their customer's accounts by assessing overdraft fees.

*Just think, if all Americans canceled their checking accounts and savings accounts with all of the big banks in America, these big banks would obviously fail and go out of business. Every American can cancel their accounts with the publicly held banks and open up new accounts at local Credit Unions or small neighborhood banks that are not affiliated with any of the publicly held banks in America.

Finally make sure to 'Google' the following documentaries and watch them on the web in order to learn more about the publicly held banking system in America-

2) FRONTLINE: BREAKING THE BANK
3) FRONTLINE: THE CARD GAME

Hey Vince

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

I hope this little bit of logic doesn't blow your mind, and while I know it is very difficult for you, here is something for you to think about.

You stated..."....the corp giants that feed on the working man"

You owe them zero dollars, and they closed your account.  They are now making zero dollars from you..no interest..no fees...not one additional penny.  If they truly wanted to "feed" off of you, wouldn't they have kept your account open giving you the opportunity to borrow more money paying that money back at a huge interest rate over several months/years?

They don't want to feed on you

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

"Boa crooks"

BOA is not required to give you credit. They exercised their right to cancel your credit card. That does not make them crooks. You evaded Robert's question, "at what point did these 'crooks' actually steal anything from you?"

"your a moron"

The word is you're NOT your. Now who's the moron? No, I have never worked for a financial institution.

"defending the corp giants that feed on the working man"

They don't want to feed on you. That's why they upchucked you.

Crooks?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

Please help me(and probably others) out here because I can't see where these "crooks" stole anything from you.

All I see is that at in 2006 they decided to take a risk on you when they issued you a credit card.  This allowed you to borrow THEIR money.  As a condition of this you also agreed to pay them back a minimum amount of money every month you had a balance, as well as interest on the unpaid balance.  Over the last few years you have done just that.

You have now given them a big payment.  You are not just some very generous person who is freely giving them money for no reason, you were just paying back money which you had previously borrowed.   Now, they are saying that they are unwilling to allow you to borrow any more of THEIR money so they closed out your line of credit.  You haven't lost anything, because this was their money..not yours.

So I ask again...at what point did these "crooks" actually steal anything from you?

Your Bubble is about to get burst

AUTHOR: IamGood - (USA)

First of All:
BOA paid back the 45 billion that was "loaned" to them by the TARP program in 2009, less than 1 year after they received it.  And actually BOA never needed the bailout money.  The fed had to give the bail out money to the strong banks, as well as the weak banks because if they didnt, then wall street would have been able to identify the banks that were actually in trouble, and they would have been devoured by them.

As far as the bailout is concerned, the only reason that TARP was created to bail out the banks was that the wall street banks underwrote loans from flakey subprime mortgage companies.  The borrowers stopped paying their loans, leaving the wall street banks in major trouble, because a HUGE percent of their investments were in these subprime loans.

So actually MAIN STREET  was responsible for the worse financial crisis this country has seen since the great depression.  Any way you slice it, if these SUBPRIME borrowers just continued to pay their mortgages, Wall Street Banks would have been ok.

Second of All:
Because Banks all over the country were burned by people who were defaulting on other obligations , they started to re evaluate people's credit history's, and decided who was to get to keep their credit cards, and who had to give them up.

They probably did not want to cancel your card while you were still paying on it on time, because you probably would have stopped paying.

However once you paid the card off, they cancelled it because of the past due and  probably charged off medical bill from 2007.

I have a feeling if you had that charged off medical bill in 2007, and you newly applied for a bank of america credit card, you would have been turned down.

Read your contract, BOA has the right to terminate your line of credit any time. Get over it, and go try to apply for another card.

And stop being sooooo paranoid and think that just because someone doesnt agree with you that BOA was acting like a crook, that they must work for them.  I dont work for them, I am a computer programmer with a degree in Finance, who used to work for a financial institution a long, long, long time ago.
