In 2005, Basement Doctor installed a water management system along with right half of my basement along with a new sump pump in the laundry room. The system was suppossed to hook up to our existing system so the water could also still flow into the existing sump pump on the left half of basement.

After the work was completed, we had complaints with lousy cleanup job that was done. They sent two guys back out to clean up (ha ha what a joke). Then we had water leaking from the wall in two areas of the laundry room that had never happened before. They sent some other guys out to put a coat of some sort of waterproofing sealant on the walls and to extend the drain outside further away from the house. We had several other problems.

When a "supervisor" came out, he said he would work on resolving the issues and would have to get back to us. He never did and after several attempts to contact him, he finally said there was nothing he could do and denied ever saying he could help us further. Unfortunately, I did not persue it further. The company had already been paid, check cashed etc.

In February of this year, we started seeing water coming in in another are of the basement. I called the company (now answering the phone as Aqua-Tech) and actually spoke to the same supervisor from 2005. He came out and said he needed to see behind the paneling to better determine where the water was coming from. He said for us to take the paneling down and call him back. Last Sunday, I had all kinds of water coming from the same area. On Monday, I called the company and was told that this supervisor didn't work there anymore and there was no record of his visit to our house in Feb. They would have to talk to another supervisor and call me back. They never did. I called and asked for someone in an authority position. They gave me the number to the headquarters of Aqua-Tech in PA. I asked if Aqua-Tech took over Basement Doctor and was told yes.

When I finally got to a live person today in the PA office, I was told that they did not take over Basement Doctor. They said BD closed down in 2006 with no assets and Aqua-Tech only bought some of their equiment, retained some of their employees and took over their phone number. Basically saying ... you are screwed! Something is not right here because everytime I search on Basement Doctor, there is a reference to Aqua-Tech. What's the deal?
