Bass Pro Shop - Bolingbrook, Illinois Fraudulently Endorsed Training by Security Guard College and James Andes Bolingbrook Illinois

My wife and I were solicited at Bass Pro Shop in Bolingbrook, IL for firearm training by Security Guard College instructor James Andes. The training was represented as meeting the Illinois State Police requirements for concealed weapons permits. James Andes represented himself as a state certified trainer, former law enforcement officer, and certified NRA instructor. We signed up for the class and paid our money. Once we completed the class we were given certifications and told that that we were now able to file for our permits. We then paid another $150 each to the State Police for application fees. Within 60 days we were informed by the State that Mr. Andes had lost his instructor certification and our training was invalid. James Andes was decertified for not providing the full 16 hours of training and education required by the state and the NRA. All of his 250 students had their applications denied. I have contacted Security Guard College and Bass Pro Shop for refunds and have received no response. To my knowledge no one has been refunded any money. I will now have to take another class from a reputable company for $250.
