I purchased a $400 ASUS tablet on Dec 24, 2013 as a Christmas present. it was defective. When I tried to return it, they refused to refund or replace it.they told me to contact the manufacturer. I did ad they said it was out of warranty. Bet buy does not stand by its products. And their policy that I you must return a product in 2 weeks is ridiculous.

Did you purchase

Did you purchase an extended warranty? If not then there is no remedy except pay to get it repaired. As for their 14 day return policy, well guess what, they got tired of the American consumer and the games they attempt with returns. The American consumer has no problem buying a item and breaking it and trying to get a refund. They have cut the return time in half and a lot of retailers are now doing this. You get two weeks to return a item after that it is YOURS and YOUR responsibility. They are tired of people using them as a rental outfit. The consumer gets to use a item for a month and gets a full refund because they will make a scene to get thier way. Look at yourself as an example. They tell you no. The manufacturer tells you it's outside it's manufacturing warrenty, you dont want to repair YOUR tablet so YOU hop online and try to paint THEM in a negative light.

Odds are good that YOU broke your tablet and can't either afford another one or afford to repair it. This means you immediately deflect any responsibility off to the company YOU think can afford it. This is a common tactic with the consumer, they refuse to be the responsible. Because of this retailers have now taken a harsher stance on returns. No more of the "It's only a day past" or "they sold it to me like that". They no longer buy the BS stories. Until we as Americans start acting like adults the retail world will continue on this track.
