 What they do is send out beautiful pamhlets and brochures with a preprinted "credit card" for their company. Then, they send a letter indicating you have a huge credit line, no interest or finance charges, ever! Looks too good to be true. We call they come out, do 3 or 4 repairs then charge almost nothing. The repairs are a "setup" as they are done incorrectly intentionally. Now they need to return, obviously, but don't return and keep you waiting all day without so much as a call to explain.

Then they refuse to return indicating you are a pestilent customer and too cheap to pay for the repairs (the ones that were never done in the first place). They choose wealthy neighborhoods and send out mass mailings like this. Their purpose is probably to "case" the home for a potential illegal activity at some point, but these guys are far from good plumbers. More like a bunch of racketeer scumbags. Warning! DO NOT use these people, they will make your plumbing worse! You DO get what you pay for...

As you will see in the link, other businesses have filed lawsuits for defamation for $750,000 and $2.5 million.

After careful consideration and research I came to understand that Freedom Of Speech gives people the right to express their opinions. This freedom does not give people the right to write lies for the sole purpose of destroying a business. If my company wrote the same type of things that this person wrote I would expect that this customer would file a lawsuit against my company for defamation. Thus, the blade cuts in both directions.

Before we had the internet people had the right to Free Speech and they could voice their opinions as much as they wanted. They could even write an editorial in a newspaper, but the real reviews were written by professional journalists. In the old days an opinion was generally heard only locally and in a short period of time the reviews evaporated and a business could improve their service and regain consumer confidence.

Today, things are different. A business spends millions of dollars to build a great brand and one bad review on the internet can destroy what took a business owner his entire life to build."The end doesn't justify the means." This devastating destruction can be something as small as a customer complaining there was too much salt in their soup because this insignificant claim can change a 5-Start restaurant's rating to a 1-Star rating and unlike the old days when reviews went away these insignificant and/or fake reviews and ratings will resonate throughout the world forever. This complaint about a $2 bowl ow soup can cause a restaurante to lose millions of dollars and put many workers and vendors out of business.

I'm guessing that most bad reviews are written by people who are not in the same industry. For example, a person who owns a business is more-likely to have compassion and understands the mechanics of other businesses. A person who worked hard to build a brand is more-likely to have compassion and will not write a review that destroys another business because he thought the soup had too much salt.

A person who thinks the soup had too much salt will probably not write a review. They would most-likely ask to speak with the manager and suggest that the soup had too much salt. But suppose he wants to write a review. An honest person would write the things they liked and mention that they thought the soup had too much salt. Regardless, of how you want to write your review it serves no purpose other than to destroy a business when you write that everyone in the restaurant is scumbags and you fabricate lies for the sole purpose of destroying what took someone a lifetime and their entire life savings to build. 

For the review written about my company this is exactly what happened. Our Freedom Of Speech has some limititations such as we cannot scream, "FIRE" in a movie theater because people will get hurt. Now, it is time to enact some new laws so people can scream, "RIPOFF" and write lies for the sole purpose of hurting a business.

I can see stating your problem and when you continue to carry on the only thing I can think is that you are not serious about writing a review to help the public. You are only trying to get even with someone for some reason. After reading the reviews and rebuttals the person writing the reviews has provided no evidence to prove that he or she was a customer. Thus, I am wondering what the motive is for this carrying on.

Only my two cents.

    This company will do the job quickly and as promised. They have nice and professional plumbers who are very respectful.

    So why the 2 stars? They are incredibly overpriced. After spending $6,000 ($5,500 for the line + $500 for the permit) with them to put in a 14 ft. sewer line, I found out (from my aunt's plumber, Chris Jackson) that we could have had it done with him for about $1,500!!! Talk about a bitter pill to swallow!

    We should have gotten more estimates BEFORE committing to the job, but read more » we were new parents and exhausted and overwhelmed. We just wanted our problem fixed.

    This operation is a scam. I called to have my mainline cleaned out. Before the plumber even started the job, he was trying to sell me on relining the line. His "clean- out" lasted less than a week and when I called to complain, they told me that the line needed replacing at the tune of $10,000-12,000!

    I called another plumber to do the same work and it's been working fine for weeks. There's a reason they consistently get 1 star from all the reviewers.

    Over the holidays we were inundated with Bestline Plumbing advertising at our residence.  

    The ad states a "Free Safety Check Furnace", then states "Furnace Inspection & Diagnosis $15"

    I gave them a call.  Left a message.  Never received a call back.

    Yelp says they suck.  Good thing they didn't call back.

    WOW! Looking for decent plumbing service? Don't look here & be sure to run past their name as fast as you can. Not only were they late to arrive but the plumber scheduled to come to my house called me a F-ing b***h when I called to cancel the service.  My boyfriend called to mediate the situation and the guy said he was coming over to kick his a*s. HE ACTUALLY SHOWED UP!!! But being the little chicken s**t that he was failed to get out of his work van.     I called bestline because they were very persistent with their flyers and I fugred that had to count for something.  After calling them I scheduled an appointment with them for Sunday between the hours of "9 - 12."  To put it simply, no one ever showed up or even called to reschedule.  Thanks, I get two days off a week and you just wasted half of one.

    I called them back this past Sunday and told the man over the phone that I needed a drain snaked. The man abruptly responded "not today you're read more » not."  I responded "ok, well when then?" but was hung up on before I could get a reaponse.

    I REST my case...we're done.

You wrote a fake and damaging review and this is not going to go away that easy. 

I would not make a bet with you for $20,000 as you suggested in your last rebuttal because you and I both know that you don't have $20,000 to cover your bet. All four reviews you wrote about other companies make it clear that you are broke and you don't pay your debts. For this reason, I can see why you try to hide your identity.

$20,000 is a joke because we are talking about suing you for damages in the range of $3 million. 

You said in a previous rebuttal that you would not respond to these rebuttals. Like everything you did, with every business you wrote bad reviews about, you never kept your word. The difference between you and I is I do keep my word this is my last rebuttal. The next time we have contact will be of a much different nature.

Besides the fact that by not identifying yourself, and babbling on about people who use this service for what is is meant, who are you?

Then, wiseguy, BET or NO BET?

First, I am Jim Facey, now I am Mr. Lawndale, both incorrect. Then you have a tracker on your website, which is possible, but I never visited it, I got a pamphlet as I said in the mail. Further I was definitely a customer you took me on and billed me rather than establishing the credit your letter offered.

YOU solicited me...I obliged, and you messed up.

NOW: One more time I make this simple offer, because the attorney, etc was all long ago, I have an attorney that will destroy this mess you have created, but you are bluffing. IF NOT...HERE'S the BET:

Last Chance or no more replies, this is lunacy: I am neither Mr. lawndale, nor Jim Facey, and I was a customer of your shoddy company. If those things are true (your company might be the best in town, but not for me) but I am someone else, then...I WIN the bet, shall we say 20 thousand+ attorney's fees?

Or...we can just bet, on here where it is legally binding. we will make a simple legal contract that is not in bet form, and if I am correct, you pay, if not I pay you.

I still think by not ever saying your own name, even an alias, you are using this site to advertise, and they probably don't appreciate this. This site IS for ripoffs, and your company did just that, if you are the owner, who knows, but a bet is a bet...shall we?

You wrote four bad reviews about companies you did business with, in only two years, and file bad reviews for all four businesses on ripoffreport.com.

All four reviews have the same login 'jimsface'. Your identity is no secret. You have a long history of writing bad reviews about companies when you are to blame because you don' fulfill your contractual obligations and you can't fulfill these obligations because you enter into contractual agreements when you knowingly don't have money to pay your obligations.

So, to make yourself look better to your family (if a person like you has one) you need to tell everyone that you didn't make your car payments because the finance company employees are scumbags, and you didn't pay for your health club because the health club employees are scumbags, and you filed a complaint against your attorney with the bar association because your attorney is a scumbag, and you filed a complaint against my company because you say I refused to give you credit, which is not true because you never did business with my company. and so you called me a scumbag. I thought scumbags was a person like you who takes money from people when he knows he will never have the money to pay the debt.

First, you write a fake review stating what you claim to be facts.

Then, you write a rebuttal saying that you was not actually a customer and you have the right to write opinions even if they are defamatory for a company you never did business with. Then, you claim that you heard the things you write from a third party and you have the right to write these things because our constitution allows you to defame a company and remain anonymous. 

Then, I find on ripoffreport.com that you did business with an attorney, wanted your money back, and called him a scumbag and you reported your attorney to the bar association.. The ripoff user's name is the same as in this review and you now lie in your last rebuttal and say that you are not the same person.

Then, you signed a contract with a health spa, you cancel your membership, owe on your contract, and when they keep taking the money from your credit card that you promised to pay you write a bad review and call this company scumbags. Again, you claim you are not the same person, but you have the same user name 'jimsface',.

Then, you finance two luxury cars you can't afford. You fail to make the payments and when the finance company calls you you write a bad review and call them scumbags. You still have the same user name 'jimsface and you you dispute this in your last rebuttal..

Then, you claim that my company did not give you credit to do work and you call my company scumbags. Do you think you have a pattern?

So, you called four companies scumbags in less than two years. You filed four bad reviews about people you must have thought were suitable to do business with. You don't pay people the money you promise to pay and when you did pay your attorney you wanted the money back. When your attorney told you that he worked for the money you tried to ruin his reputation by reporting him the bar and caused him unnecessary problems.

Even if you were my customer why in the world would anyone give a person like you credit and why would anyone want to do business with a person who can never be grateful for the things people give to you.

If my business made you unhappy by not giving you credit then I am a very happy contractor and my employees did the right thing if they blew you off. It is possible for professionals to know what a person like you is like by listening to only a few words when you speak and my employees would had the right intuition. You are definitely the type person that no business wants and it is my intention to expose you just like you want to expose everyone you do business with. I will follow through with my promises at all costs. The difference between you and myself is I keep my promises and pay my bills. You don't because you don't have what is most important to you and that is money...because you tried to extort money from me three times in your rebuttals.

Expose yourself, apologize, and I will stop the attorney. I never said the supeona was sent. If you go back and read I told you the investigation takes time and then we will get one.

My website has a tracker. At the same time you filed your report you went to my website to enter the website address on ripoffreport and I have your IP address.

I can avoid answering you, but I was testing you and you took the bait. People looking for a company's reviews want to know the facts about a company and not wild opinions from an a person who is mad at the world because his business is failing and he is broke. People writing a serious review don't keep screaming SCUMBAG over and over. It makes me think that you are low-life drug addict who doesn't know any other way to describe a person other than SCUMBAG. 

I would love to see you write the reasons why you chose four different companies to do business with, in only two years, and ended up calling all four businesses scumbags. You must have trusted these businesses before you entered into contractual relationships with the exception of my business because you and I never did business with each other.

You are a very sick person who has caused four businesses a lot of unnecessary grief, time, and expenses. You owe all of these businesses money you promised and you don't pay. Yet, you filed a complaint when these businesses shoud have filed a complaint against you, first. If you had a real beef with my company all you had to do was make a phone call and I would personally do everything to make you a happy customer. But, you have no real beef with my company so you can't call. 

I don't care if your review take a thousand rebuttals because I hope people reading these rebuttals learn that most reviews are fakes and/or the information in most reviews is exaggerated and twisted. Most businesses work hard to satisfy a lot of sick customers who do not deserve good service because they are rude and liars from the start. when reading reviews about companies the reader should be aware that many bad situations are provoked by one of the two parties and most businesses don't purposely provoke situations for the purpose of creating problem customers.

Hopefully, more businesses start to fight back against people like this person who wrote four bad reviews. We need to let customers know there will be consequences for their actions when they purposely fabricate lies about a company only to get even or to defame a company.

I will be the first to fight back by taking this clown through the legal process even if it costs thousands of dollars and takes several years. In the next few days, I intent to create a website with all this person's information, whether accurate or not, because this is what our constitution allows. Since this person has never been my customer the credit information I have about him is not protected because everything I will put on my website will be public information that can be found on the internet, and a lot of this information can be from third parties that write truth or lies just like the people who write fake reviews on Yelp and ripoffrreport. I will post his name, address, phone, and all information because that can be found in public records and on the internet and I will do this because this person has no consideration for the damage he does as he posts fake and untruthful information about the businesses he does business with even when he wronged these businesses from the start.

This is not a forum and this is not a public debate. This is a place you came to for the sole purpose of venting frustration caused by your own person problems and a place you came to to cause serious damage to four businesses you screwed by writing untruthful reviews about every company. You need to be held liable for your actions and this is what I will do. 

I will bet that if you called all four businesses and discussed you problems every business would have listened, bent over backwards to help you, and there would have been no cause nor reason to write four bad reviews. But, just because you didn't have have a few thousands dollars to pay for the luxury cars you purchased you was willing to write a bad review that could cost a comany to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Stop answering these rebuttals and this will be my last. Then, if you want to put a stop to this send a letter with a personal apology, your name, address, and you have my promise that I will stop the lawsuit. Otherwise, since you stated in your post that you are a betting man then don't bet your money on this ending soon nor without some out-of-pocket money and time.

If they are such opportunists, so as to expose someone who I am not (I guarantee the general public that the identity wa snever revealed, and I am not that person)

BUT isn't it interestng how he used his second of so many defenses (too many if you ask an innocent) to advertise his really horrible company.

Let's do this...I will personally BET this man a large sum of money (his choosing) that his results are dead wrong, and he is exposing a person no one has ever heard of. Further I have contaced this company, and no subpoena was ever served; further, it could never have been served this quickly, as this is merely a civil matter, if anything.

SO AGAIN...Mr. whomever you are, hiding behind false rhetoric, how many THOUSANDS cash would you be willing to wager in this public forum that I am not who you say I am, and that indeed I WAS (no longer) a customer of this sham of a company?

HOW much, big shot? Let's do this publicly so you have to pay off, oh, and loser pays the attorney's fees too, as you have defamed an innocent here who will more than likely want his due (I will pay him, from my winnings).

The bad review was written by James Facey a person who has never been our customer. We have no records indicating that this person ever called, but if you read the fake review written by Jim Facey, also known as jimsface, you will find that this person has some serious personal and business problems. 

You will see that this person owes a lot of people money, filed bankruptcy, wrote bad reviews about many companies he ownes money to, and many creditors are seeking the whereabouts of Jim Facey. Since ripoffreport.com will not allow me to post his address nor phone number you can contact my company and I have no problem with giving you all the personal information I have for him and his wife Katie. You have never been our customer and you need to look in your own back yard before you write a complaint about us. Everything I write can be verified on the internet.

You purchased two luxury vehicles you could not afford and when your finance company contaced you about the payments you claim you stopped making the payments because you were angry about their phone calls. 

You don't tell the truth to anyone because the truth was you did not have the money and you filed bankruptcy.

So, what did you do to your finance company. You write a bad review about the company that helped you get called them scumbags because they wanted the money you promised to pay.

Then, you hire an attorney. The attorney works his butt off to help you sue someone and because the case was not going fast enough you ask your attorney for a refund. Your attorney tells you that he needs to be paid for the number of hours he worked. So, you write a letter to the bar association to have the attorney disbarred and youj call the attorney a scumbag.

Then, you had a criminal case against you in Arizona. You move around more that a Gypsy and I found out that this is because you have about 100 people who are looking for the money you owe them and this in probably in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Then, you signed a contract with a health spa in Beverly Hills and you wanted to cancel your contract. So, you called the health club, cancelled, and the health club kept billing your credit card because your contract did not expire. So, what do you do? You write a review about the health club and you call them scumbags.

You are a very sad and angry person who cannot live within your means. So far, the attorney handling my case against you said the evidence shows that you are scratching for money and since you did mention in your last post that you would go to arbitration and settle for cash you picked on my company to extort my company for cash because I own one of the largest companies in California.

I hope it made you feel good to pick my company to extort money from because I keep my promises and will see you in court. I will follow through as promised with no consideration for the cost and since you don't have one penny that is yours the only thing I can get from you is the satisfaction of knowing that you may be more careful the next time you pick on a company only because you have serious personal problems.

I don't get the part in your complaint where you say my company would not give you credit. After seeing how you owe hundreds of thousands of dollars to collectors how could you expect my company to take money from my pocket and trust you.

Since you already have experience with getting sued you know it takes time to complete our investigation and process the papers, so be patient.

The way I see it you had a lot of people try to help you and you can't handle your personal affairs. So, you call everyone who helps you a scumbag and this justifies your problems to yourself and others. You can tell your family and friends that your car was reposessed because the finance company's employees were scumbags and you don't have to tell that you are a straight up loser. You can tell your friends that you lost your lawsuite because your attorney was a scumbag, and you don't have to tell your friends that you could not afford your health club because the health club's employees are scumbags.

When people owe me money (and I have plenty of them) I don't call them scumbags when they don't pay. I have more compassion than you. I don't disrespect people because they make mistakes and I don't call them scumbags. I have respect for people's feelings and understand that people have problems. No! Not you! You must be perfect and when you don't pay people the money you owe then these people are scumbags. I don't purposely try to ruin a company's reputation because I have problems I can resolve.

You purposely try to ruin other people's lives because the people who try to help you have limitations and when these people can't help you then you get angry and write bad things about them. You may consider trying a different tactic and be nice to the people who try to help you. Then, some of these people will be willing to work with you. All you do is leave a trail of enemies behind and from what I found out from the residents in your previous addresses is they receive no less than 1 to 5 people looking for you every day.

I will be seeing you in court unless you want to try a new tactic and send a sincere apology and statement saying that you will be more respectful to the people who try to help you, you will stop blaming others when you make promises to these people that you don't keep, and you will write honest, logical, and truthful reviews.

Be satisfied that I will accept an apology and do the right thing. I really don't want to waste money and time on you when you can resolve this is a few minutes. Otherwise, you picked on the wrong company to extort money from.

This is third response from Bestline Plumbing. All the claims in the review are false and the person making these claims has never been a Bestline customer.

The perpetrator for this false claim made false statements that he claimed as factual and wrote two rebuttals. The perpetrator's second rebuttal backs off from saying that he wrote facts and states that he has the right to write opinions and I am assuming that this means he has this right even if he is telling lies and was never a Bestline customer and even if he is claiming that these lies are facts.

As stated in my previous rebuttal, I contacted an attorney today and we will follow through with serving a supoena to ripoffreport.com to expose this perpetrator and we will  seek justice. This will not be the first person we brought legal action against for false reviews and hopefully every business does the same to make it clear that there is a difference between Freedom Of Speech, opinions, slander, and defamation.

This is the BIGGEST effort I have seen on the part of your company. Be very careful as you seem to be illiterate, and if you spell a name wrong, you'll have trouble filing anything.

In the State of Claifornia, if a company does not perform in the way with which it has promised, in your case in writing, it is legal to express a public opinion. These sites are meant as a forum for this opinion, and, when your company, and its illegal employees (our opinion, again) (possibly not even real plumbers) breached its agreements, they opened up to public scrutiny.

If I had the time I would sue you myself, but the time is a waste as is this rebuttal. As was the time spent calling your ridiculous company, who waste people's time with false promises and lies.

TO THE PEOPLE OF RIPOFF REPORT:

Please close this file as we refuse to entertain these people in their vain attempts to vindicate their tarnished name. We will not be corresponding further, but again agree to arbitration for value, and time costs as well.

Bestlins is going to seek legal action for your false claims

You had better read the rules for Ripoff Report because you are not protected by the first amendment when you tell lies for defamatory purposes, or to purposely tarnish a company's reputation.

The claims you are making ara a vicious attempt to ruin Bestline's reputation. Your claim that you filed a report with the BBB is not true because bestline has zero complaints on file with the BBB and you will not file a complaint because you will have to expose your identity making you vulnerable for a lawsuit.

Your review is false because you say you called Bestline several times, had bad service performed and you say Bestline did not charge you. Then, you say that Bestline sets up customers to go back again to do more service and will not go back. This does not make sense.

Your review is false because you tell about no specific job, no specific type of work, nor the type of problem with the work, nor the reason you are angry about Bestline's customer credit policies and all this is because you have never been a Bestline customer.

Ripoff Report's rules state that I have to send Ripoff Report a supoena to their office in Arizona and then request your true identity. This is what I intend to work on today.

BUT...I was a customer, and have reported this company to the BBB, the Bureau of Consurmer Affairs, and am now considering filing a lawsuit against these backwards people who think nothing of tying up customers by making promises to be there, and never showing up.

Then...when they do, they mess the job up, send unaccredited plumbers who may not even be legal citizens, no way to know that, and leave abruptly with a large billing for services. When the plumbing job falls apart (cannot even fix a simple pipe leaking or toilet overflow) they DO offer to return the money in the form of a "credit" towards future billings."

More HYPE, more garbage, then when the "victim" who was the customer falls for the credit scenario, they make appointments, and simply don't show up. The next step is not answering their phones, and eventually blocking your cell phone number. These people should NOT be plumbers, and have ruined the repuatations for good plumbers everywhere with their "Credit Card " mailing offer.

The next step according to the city attorney, is to have them charged for violating the merchant credit card laws, as they cannot set up an "internal credit card" without getting the nod from credit reprting agencies, and merchant service authorities. Since they have taken the time to rebut, I will make myself plain to them, in a public forum, and offer to arbitrate openly, where I intend to sue them for the 27 hours of wasted time, and all of the plumbing that had to be ripped out and repaired again.

TO BESTLINE PLUMBING: See you in court, wehre I hope all who read this have time to appear. Certainly if you too have fell victim, please contact me through this forum's messaging service.

I had decided to report them to local police as well, but the report wa only taken by phone, as no physical damages (only civil) were done. I know one thing, if I ever see these guys again, they will be paying for the frauds that they are, and hopefully through the courts, we will have our justice.

May all of our water flow unimpeded, and if you need a real good plumber, YES...I did find one!
