Beverly Hughes Ripped Off by Dr. Stynowick, Insulted by his assistant Saint Louis Missouri

Dr. Stynowich was the pain management doctor for Christian Hospital in NE St. Louis but as his practice grew he wanted more authority in how he conducted his business.  He left the hospital and opened his own office.  He hired new staff, got brand new building, etc. and began to really grow.  However, he had problems getting information about his patients from the hospital so he asked his patients to write letters to the hospital to get our information sent to him.  

Once he got his office the way he wanted it and got his new assistant in place, he became ruthless and uncaring. That's his perogative but it is not his perogative to mistreat his patients -- especially the ones reported to him by his goofy-looking assistant.  I had been a faithful patient of his but I didn't get along with that witch of an assistant.  She decided to badmouth me and I got treated badly while there.  It took me a while but I changed doctors and now I am thrilled with my primary care doctor as my pain management doctor.  

This complaint is not just about "feelings." however.  The last time I went to Dr. Stynowich's office for a shot, I'd previously arranged to get it under anesthesia.  In fact, the doctor suggested it when I told him I'd prefer it that way!  When I got there for the shot, they kept me laying in the procedure room for over an hour.  I'd been getting shots from him for 3 years and that never happened.  Then, when I asked the technicians to see what was going on, the doctor came in and hurt me more than I'd ever been hurt.  Not only did he NOT give me the anesthesia, he seemed to be hurting me intentionally.  That was the last straw, I was through with him, no matter how long I'd have to wait for pain mgmt meds.

I had complained to him much before this incident.  He took it personally whenever I did so and threatened me to remember that he could do what he wanted because of the forms I signed.  He left me speachless when he did that because I thought we had a different type relationship than that. I didn't give a d**n about the forms I signed...if I wanted to pursue something legally I would have regardless.  Before this, he started taking urine samples...to see if his patients were abusing drugs.  Well...one time he found a different medication in my system than what he prescribed.  Of course it wasn't much - it was something I took while in ssevere pain that I'd gotten from the dentist for pain in a dry socket that I had.  He didn't believe that the dentist gave it to me!  

I was so hurt that he treated me that way! I would not recommend that ANYONE go see him.  He has become arrogant and dependent on a half-wit assistant.  I take my relationships with my doctors seriously.  The last primary doctor I had - I was with for 30 years.  I'd still be with him if he hadn't retired.  Thank God I have a good primary now... they are hard to find.
