BHM Financial is a predatory lender that charges criminal interest rates as per section 347 of the criminal code. The ridiculous fees that they charge if you are late with a payment of $150 as well as upfront fees and closing fees gets grouped into the over all interest rate per annum which ends up being far more than the maximum 60% per annum. All of the positive comments about them here are from BHM representatives pretending to be their clients. They violate so many lending laws and collection laws that they are finally being held accountable. The CPA is investigating them, as well as Acorn Canada. If you have a loan with them or had one and paid more than 60% per year in interest including all fees, than you should get in touch with Acorn. The more the better when it comes to eventually filing a class action suit against them.

Smart Consumer

What a smart consumer does is read the contract before agreeing to the terms to see if those terms are palatable with them. They also make their payments on time so as to avoid any late fees. What a dummy will do is simply sign the agreement without reading what they are getting themselves into then act surprised when the cry and whine about the terms. Don't waste your time claiming I must work for them, because I don't!
