Bill Heard Chevorlet ripoff dishonest sale tactics and financing tactics Antioch Tennessee

Started dealing with Bill Heard in Febuary 06',looking for a second car and to re-establish credit. They told me they could help. The sales guy told me that they had a 05' Impala they had just gotten in and was waiting for it to get released from the bank he told me wait and he will call me as soon as they release it. I recieved a call maybe 3 weeks later and went to the lot just to be told that it did not get released and that they were going to release the car back to whoever they got it from.

Mind you on the first night that we went there they ran my credit and told me that they could get in a car, they I was trying to rebuild and re-establish credit.So then we looked at a 02' Intrepid I liked the car we were there for about 5 to 6 hours while they got the buying process started. They told me that we got approved for the car went to financing and did the paperwork.

A week later they call and tell me we did not get approved because the car had too many miles on it. So we took that car back and looked at other cars it got kind of late so they loaned us a 06' cobalt coupe to take home that night and we had to come back the next day. On this day they convinced me to get a 06' cobalt 4dr used, didn't want to because I have 3 teenage boys and a husband, they told me taht is all I qualify for and that it was just going to be for a year to fix our credit issues.

We did paperwork on that car about a week and a half later the company taht was financing call to get information that was left off of our credit application that we know that we put on there,a couple of days before the financing dept. had call to get the same info. W gave the financing company that wsa financing all the info taht somehow got left of our credit application. Two weeks later we get a call from Bill heard saying that the car did not get approved and to come in and look for another car.

We went in and asked why we did not get approved and was told that somehow on our rental history that our rental rate was changed from 900 a month to 400 a month, they did not know who could have changed it or how it got changed and that the bank would not approve us because the did not want to put us in a financial bind ( mind you my husband makes good and that would not have been a bind or we would not have gotten it ). At this time all I wanted was my money back.

They brought out the sales manager and the another manager to convince us they would get us in a car today and they will do whatever to make it happen, now had the cobalt for one month. So we look at a 05' Malibu again do the paperwork and is told taht we got approved and that they made sure this time before we left the lot. Three weeks pass and call about my paperwork and my tags, the woman in car titles tell me I need to take to someone in financing so I talk to them and they tell me taht the car was a done deal and that they sent the paperwork to funding for my tags.

I get a call 1 weeek later for Bill Heard to come in because they need to talk to us, this call came from someone name Nicole and she and she said the financial mngr. Chris ---- wanted to talk to us. It tried to call him for 2 days before finally reaching him because I could not understand what they wanted because they said it was a done deal a week ago he said that we needed to interview with bank, I told him that the guy that helped us with our financing Jermaine --- said that the deal was done he ended our conversation calling for Jermaine and said that he will call me back, of course he did not.

Now my 30 day temp. tags has expired, they tell to come in and get new temp. tags I'm talking to Chris A. about this and asked again why is it taking so long for my tags he tells me that he has my paperwork right in front of him and that he is finishing up with it. I had called Centrix the company that was doing the financing to ask about the holdup because we had a payment due in 1 week. They said that they don't show that we got financing that it was not approved.

Now when I'm on the phone talking to Chris I tell him that I talked to Centrix and that they said we did not get approved, he said we did the deal was done and that he had the approval right in front of him from that companyand that he would call them to clear things up. The next day I went to get new temp. tags.

A week later they call ( Bill Heard) and leave a message again asking us to come in. I had to go to the service dept. so I asked my husband to go to used car financing to see what was going on because Chris wanted us to come in again this is what he told me that they did not want the car back but need to talk to us about something. My husband went to financing asked for Chris and was told that no one called our home and that the deal was done and that he don't no who called ( mind you I am the one he talked to ).

One week and a half weeks after that they call again and talk to my husband by now we a seriously irritated with Bill Heard, he goes there and they say that they have misplaced our approval and that it expired and we need to do another credit application, that they will lower the price of the car, but they also raised our finanacing rate which was already way to high because of our credit.

My husband told them no a colorful way and asked for our down payment back. They said that it take them 10 to 15 minutes to get our money back then changed there minds and said that would have to inspect the car first before they could refund anything. We are turning the car in this monday hopefully without any problems and going somewhere else. They offered to come and pick the car up for us several times and my husband told that if they come to home to have our check in hand or don't bother coming and wait till we come monday to return the car because he was on his way out of town.

We dealt with them from Febuaury to May had gotten approved on 3 different cars and ending up with not a one. If that is not a rip-off what is. And I'm quite sure they going to find a way to keep some of our money, the car is same shape it was as when I got it.
