I have a huge issue with Blast fitness. I am member that was moved over from Bally's that pays an annual contract fee, and automatically renews it. As a Bally's memeber my annual fee include access to all daycare, pool, sauna, etc.
BLAST change access to services in the middle of my contract. March 2013 BLAST requires everyone to upgrade in order to have full access . I have been told recently I am not allowed to use daycare unless I upgrade. I explained to manager this act is unfair because they are changing my contract services in the middle of my contract. I have a child and daycare is one of the reasons I chose that location. This change is unfair to me as a loyal customer of this gym. I asked to have my privileges of daycare to be granted until my renewal time. Then I could either choose to upgarde or leave.
BLAST refuse to call me back, but they sent an email that stated "Thank you for contacting Blast Fitness Customer Care Department. If you believe you are entitled to the babysitting service please provide us with your original Ballys contract that states you are entitled to the babysitting service. Please email or fax us at 617-916-5693 a legible copy of your contract over to us to review."
This itself is ridiculous since I had access to daycare when BLAST first took over, now they want me to provide a contact from old company that states that. And since they took over Bally's they have access to all the old contracts of Bally's. This illegible act effects the amount of time I can exercise since they will not allow my child to daycare.
I definately will not be renewing with them. I know other former members may be having the same issue. I definately would be interested in a class action lawsuit!
