Exactly one year ago this month, our small business finally switched our energy supplier to Blue Pilot after several calls from them promising savings on our electricity charges from Met Ed. The savings weren't much, but in a business where pennies count, pennies count!
Unbelievably, our current month's bill is 400 PERCENT above what it would have been if we had stayed with Met Ed. A normal $500 bill came in at $2,361! We have a second location. If that bill also comes in at that amount, we will be hit with $5,000 just for electricity in one month!
They are charging 7 TIMES the current per KWH rate of Met Ed. I contacted them to try to negotiate a better price, but they refuse to even discuss it. Pay it or your service will be terminated.
I have filed a complaint with the PaPUC, the PA Attorney General's Office, and I plan to file another with the US Attorney General's Office. I will tell anyone who will listen about what a parasite this company is. My sincere hope is that one of these government agencies, or some attorney who is a smart cookie, goes after these people, shuts down there operation, and takes away every penny of the windfall they have made on the backs of honest business owners and individuals.
