I was doing great for the first 4 hours since joining the site. I managed to list close to 50 books and had mailed out 3. I was very happy because I could potentially order 4 books I wanted. Also I was in the middle of retrieving delivery tracking numbers for all my books I had placed in the mail using my money for postage when suddenly I had been logged out from the account. I thought this was a normal timeout procedure and all I had to do was log back in, but this was not the case. After repeatedly trying to log in I found out my account was disabled. I sent emails to tech support and was greeted with deafening silence. This situation continued for 4 more days until I did a look up of my account profile and found it had been emptied of my book inventory and all my book requests ["mooches"] from other "moochers" as well as wish list had been unceremoniously cleared out and cancelled. [continued below]....
..... I even was in talks with a very polite overseas moocher who wanted one of my books and I had already agreed to give it, when she told me I on bookmooch.com had cancelled the request and closed my account. I will be sending the book free of charge btw, bookmooch be damned! So there you have it. I never received a reply to any of the emails I sent to tech support instead my account was terminated and I am out the cost of shipping, the books and am very mad. Also keep in mind I was never given any reason nor was I warned about the termination of my account. And my email was set up to receive bookmooch email as a contact specifically so it would not get mistaken for spam, so I know they never contacted me about anything except the initial welcome to bookmooch email. Stay away from this fraudulent book club. I suggest using paperbackswap, they are an honest book club. One more thing they will keep all your personal information and there is no way to get them to delete it.
