Brake Max...What a Rip Off ! tucson Az
*UPDATE Employee: Nonsense.
We took our 1993 Chrysler Town & Country van in to Brake Max for an estimate ( the brakes had gone out ). We were given an extimate of $800.00 + to repair the ABS system. For a 2nd opinion we took the van to the Chrylser dealership & was told the ABS system was warranted & in recall, so the whole repair cost us $0 !!
Shame on Brake Max for trying to rip us off !!

Nonsense.

The customer feels 'ripped off' because we were not aware of a 19-year-old factory recall of which they were evidently never made aware. If store associates were aware of a warranty on the 20-year-old vehicle they would have communicated that (despite the fact that it is not our responsibility to be intimately aware of every manufacturer memo for every car).
To put it another way - if you had a repairman come and look at the AC in your home and give you an estimate on repairing it, would you feel like he was dishonest for giving you a quote and not being aware that you had a warranty from the homebuilder? Of course not - how would he possibly know that?
Or if you took a computer to a repair shop in town and they gave you a quote, is it their fault you weren't aware that you had a warranty from Dell? Probably not - they would have absolutely no way of knowing that information unless it was furnished by you.
