I enrolled at Bryman to complete my education and get a better job ( career) and I moved from Anaheim to Ontario CA, and I was told that there would be "no Problem". That I would drop out and reenroll in Ontario..... so I took my last Final in Anaheim and signed my discharge papers and a week later I found that I now owe Bryman in Anaheim 703.00. They have yet to explain to me why I have a balance, or why I even had one to begin with.

I completely finished two whole semesters and recieved A's on the tests... yet they have blocked me from going to the other Bryman where I now live, they have me in their computer system as deliquent. And say that I can't finish my schooling until I pay them off.
I'm now in finacial hardship and can not finish school I sent out to do, and I have told my kids I had to drop out of school, when all their lives I have preached to them that dropping out is not an option...
Now what do I do?

I've been to college myself, and went through many MANY bursar (billing) trials and tribulations. I feel for you.

Did you register for courses for the next semester? Some schools will not let you attend until you've paid for the semester's course load. Are you on a payment plan? My school offered a ten month payment plan, but the plan was administered by a third party company, and sometimes, a payment would accidently not get posted to the university, lost, etc. If you're getting financial aid, same thing. Your loan company/grant issuer may have forgotten to post one of your dispursements, for instance. If you're getting financial aid AND a third party payment plan, the risk for miscommunication is that much higher! TRUST me, I lived through it! Imagine MY frustration when I discovered two weeks from graduation that I couldn't walk unless I paid two grand! It turned out that one of my loan dispursements was a little late.

I would call up the Bursar's office of the school, or walk in, and ask them what the deal is. They're the billers; they KNOW why your account has a balance! If they brickwall you, try the VP of Finance/student finance office (or whatever office is directly above the Bursar at the school) Last resort, the Dean of Students, Dept. of student affairs, or whatever the equivalent is. Good luck.
