Incompetence, ineptitude and stupidity...3 elements that combined are extremely dangerous, especially if you are running a board of directors of 2 buildings.
Hiring managers without a license knowing it was against the law.
Having as a vicepresident a guy that did not even live on the property and was not authorized by any resident.
Charging a $3300 assessment to do repairs in the buildings and using the money to cover unpaid bills.
Having residents that after 4 years had not paid said assessment.
Allowing residents to not pay their monthly fees for years and doing nothing to fix this.
Having 17 phone lines for an office with  1 phone and 1 fax.
Building a brand new gate house without the corresponding permits and after more than 1 year tearing it down because it was illegally built.
Having elevators go 2 or more years without inspections...elevators are 40 years old.
Paying 80 grand to put a tile floor that after 6 months started cracking.
Having a 30 grand shortage on monthly fees and getting a loan from the Small Business Administration
for 2 million dollars that was not voted for as condo docs request.
"Doctoring" the office books in order to get that loan, if not, how other way would you get a loan if you are loosing money on a monthly basis?
Attempting to get another loan from a bank that turned them down for the reason stated before.
Not notifying any resident as to when the loan was received and what they did with that money.
Building an unnecessary fence with part of that money.
Towing cars of residents that owed fees knowing that it is illegal.
Using a towing company that could not/should not tow cars from this property because they were breking a "distance law"that exists in Miami Dade county.
Since very few residents paid their monthly fees, money was not enough, so they kept raising the fees and assessing residents in the worst recession in decades instead of trying to collect from the ones that did not pay.
This caused a lot of people to go into foreclosure/bankruptcy(myself included...it also cost me my marriage).
What did the state, through its regulating offices(DBPR - Ombudsman) do?.....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I've lived in this country for 20 years, worked hard from day 1. Bought an apartment, worked more, bought a bigger one, had an 870 FICO credit....today I have nothing, zero, nada.
I lost my house and had to move away and begin renting, today these incompetent thieves are trying to get me to pay for their f**k ups.
Thanks for everything Buckley Towers.

It's True

AUTHOR: LOWENS - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, March 27, 2015

All of it is true-  The Buckley Towers is one of the most incompetent run condos in all of Miami - I have a dear friend who lives there and I dred every time I visit him - First of all it's true they tow cars all of the time for not paying maitenance - This happened to my friend - In fact it was on the news.  Second, the condo has absolutely no or very limited parking for guests - I was towed from there after visiting only 2 hours - In as far as the condition of the building.  Well it's horrendous to say the least - I have been visiting there for over 10 years and I can say for the last 6 years the building has been under construction - Nobody is allowed to use their balaconies because of the repairs.  Nobody has been able to use their balcony for over 4 years -  I feel so sorry for my friend because he is unable to sell the apartement because of this and the apartment value is nothing-  He paid 65 thousand for his place and he can't even get 30 thousand for it - The building are are painted a hodge podge of colors because they have not paid their contractors so the work is not getting completed and every balacony is boarded up.  This has been this way for over four years -  Imagine never being to use your balcony.  From what I understand, they building finally got the insurance money from hurricane wilma and according to my friend the money was mismanaged and now they have nothing.  The owners are irrate and refuse to pay maintenance because doing so is useless.  And now my friend tells me the building trying to get yet another loan to finish the repairs - I think they only answer for this building is to go into receivership - There is no help for this building.  And my poor friend's apartment is worth nothing.

Condo forclosure

AUTHOR: Veedub447 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, April 28, 2012

Dear sir,

I am a licensed CAM in the state of Florida and manage a large property in Boca Raton. Just to clarify one point , your  Board can not foreclose on a property, only the bank can do that. Your board can place a lien on the property for unpaid assessments and it sounds to me as if they have done so. Due to a backlog of foreclosures in the Florida courts and because banks are hesitant to foreclose and then become responsible for assessments its understandable that units are not foreclosed on promptly.

Many of the other activities you have diescrbed are highly illegal (if true) and I would suggest you report them to the the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes.

it's very sad when someone that does not know gives an opinion.

Sir, maybe you ought to start teaching being that you know so much...

I was told by my bank that I had that score. I had no clue how high it went, all I know is that mine was at the top. The residents themselves were filing for bankruptcy/ foreclosure. To this day the board of directors have not foreclosed on any unit in the buildings.

When..

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 03, 2012

When you lie about the easily verifiable..it puts the rest of your report into serious question.

I've lived in this country for 20 years, worked hard from day 1. Bought an apartment, worked more, bought a bigger one, had an 870 FICO credit....today I have nothing, zero, nada.
- The maximum FICO Score is 850 and that would be almost impossible to hit.  So you can not have a score 20 points greater than the maximum.

so they kept raising the fees and assessing residents in the worst recession in decades instead of trying to collect from the ones that did not pay.  This caused a lot of people to go into foreclosure/bankruptcy(myself included...it also cost me my marriage).
- You just contradicted yourself again.  Since they could not collect from the people they filed foreclosure papers on them...that sure sounds like they were trying to collect.
