Budget auto rent to own Lucretive Scam Hallandale, Florida

I have had a terrible experience with this company. To be honest this entire company revolves around one of the biggest scammers in South Florida ABE. Initially when he bring you into his office he will joke around with you, ask you what type of car you want etc. Then, he will send you to the room across from him and that is where you pay half of the down payment so that he can start looking for your car. Then, the wait time told to customers for a rebuilt title is 3 -6 weeks max and for a brand new car it can vary from one day to 6 weeks.

I waited 8 weeks before I made one call to get an update on how the search was coming long for the car (two weeks extra). When I spoke with Abe he said “Yeah, we have the car!!!!”  Then I replied were you going to call me and let me know? Abe replies and says I was going to contact you but we lost your file…… Excuse me?? I gave you a copy of my DL, completed a buyer’s agreement application with you and gave you not half BUT the full deposit for my car (which was not a cheap car by the way) and you lost my information?? Okay, so ask what’s next. Abe, reply and says well the car is in Virginia and will be going for inspection call me back in a few days to see how it went. I call the following week and Abe says the car failed inspection but I should have another one in a week, call me back in a week.  This went on and on and on back and forth, up and down around and around. Going on the fifth month with no car; the more I called his office for an update, the more I called was the more it seemed I got under his skin (Obviously, I called every week because he told me to). Abe became very agitated and became vulgar  began to curse at me and said that I am aggravating him. When I asked for a refund he stated that he already cancelled my car order and mailed a check out deducting his buyers agreement fee (250.00). I reply and said MAIL??? I didn’t mail you the check, I came to your office and hand you the check. I told him I would come down to his office with law enforcement  to get my money and Abe started with the threats. “If you come to my office with police and put on a show I WILL MAKE SURE you wont get your money for another 50 years, I promise you!!” So tell me how you want to do this?? So I backed down immediately; because at that point I knew he had no work ethics and this would end up in court which I did not want to go thru that. I went to his office and he deducted a stop payment check fee of $ 35.00 plus the $250.00 fee that he charge supposedly for looking for the car.

My thoughts….

This business is a scam even worst a scam on the people who are unable to go to big car dealerships. Budget auto rent to own prey on individuals with bad credit or no credit or for whatever circumstances can’t get a car easily . If 20 customers come in today and make a deposit on the car they wish to purchase and sign the buyers agreement that means Abe just made $ 5000.00 guaranteed in 24 hours; whether he find your car or not. I thought I would be the one to walk away with a successt story  so I took my chances unfortunately I was wrong and even though I lost some money. It is a lesson; we live and we learn. I am not one to write reviews but this I had to write about from threats, to unprofessionalism, no work ethics, and false promises. What a shame!!!
