a year ago Business Recovery Services offered to help me recovery a sizable amount of money that I had paid to a company to train me and help me build a website to sell their products. I didn't receive the training I was promised and was ready to opt. out of the deal. I allowed Business Recovery to help me and was told I would be charged a one time fee of $299. I received  the Business Recovery Kit and did everything they told me to do. It was very time consuming but I persevered. I had lost several thousand dollars and needed to recover it. I never did recoup my money and felt like I wasted $299. to get help from BRS.

Well over a year went by and I had just chalked it up to experience and tried to forget the whole ordeal. Recently BRS contacted me and told me they had contacted the company that had ripped me off for several thousand dollars and they had decided to refund my money. I was very surprised and happy to hear this. Then the representative from BRS said that I would have to pay them 25% of the money I get. I told them I was never told that. They claimed I signed a form saying I would pay them 25% of any money I was able to recoup. I told them that I certainly did not remember anything of the sort. I know that I didn't sign anything like that. I was told I only would pay a one time fee of $299.

Has anyone else been done this way by Business Recovery Services?

STOP WHINING!!!

I am also a victim of a home-based business scam. BRS also contacted me about 2 years ago and told me they could recover all of the over $17k that I lost.  I felt that I had a slam dunk case and they agreed that with my story they should have no prob at all recovering my money. Not only have they not recovered a single penny of the money I had lost, but they had all but promised me that they could recover my money.  They said my case was one of the strongest that they had ever seen.  They did tell me that if I couldn't recover my money on my own with the packets that they sent me, then they would take the case for a 25% contingency fee, maybe you just didn't pay attention.  Just count your lucky stars that they actually got you your money back, money that I'm sure you had already written off as a learning experience. To actually complain about getting your money is extremely petty and it really pisses me off.  As much as I hate these guys at least they did what they said they were going to do for you.  Stop your whining and be greatful you aren't one of the people like me and the other people who have filed complaints that haven't seen a single red cent.

Totally Ungrateful

AUTHOR: Business recovery services - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, September 05, 2010

Business Recovery Services (BRS) can understand why this individual will not disclose his/her identity within the body of this complaint.  I would also be embarassed to show my face when I have busted trying to ripoff BRS after BRS worked diligently for over a year to get me a refund.

I cannot believe the level of ungratefulness of this individual.  First, this individual signs an agreement with BRS' sister company, Home-Based Business Recovery Services (HBBCS), to pay BRS 25% of whatever money is recovered.  So, if no money is recovered, then no money is owed.

Now, HBBCS never gives up on a recovery, even though many clients give up far too easily.  Please understand that any company that steals your money isn't going to just hand it back to you on a silver platter.  Rather, the company will fight "tooth and nail" to try to keep your money.  The fact that BRS was tenacious enough to get this refund should speak volumes about BRS' legitimacy.

Yet, after someone has spent time over the past year recovering this money, this individual is too cheap of a b****** to simply pay as agreed.  And, somehow that's BRS' problem?  I don't think so.
