A girl on instagram named Marianaa T (IG name: Business_before_pleasuree) told me about being able to make more money. So, she told me to load money ($200.00) on a vanilla reload card and give her the 10 digit number on the back. So I did and she said she will be contacting me back in 45 mins. never happened. So, when i called Vanilla reload they said the money was taken off and cashed to another card. I tried to contact the person at (((REDACTED))) and no answer, I tried to text no reply. She blocked me from instagram also. I called vanilla and reported a dispute and they told me to call back in 3 days to see where the money went to.

Common scam.

AUTHOR: TheTruth411 - ()

That is a common scam and changes are very high that you will not get your money back. Those cards are used to load funds onto prepaid cards. So once you gave the number, Which is the only thing that is needed to load the cash. The scammer just loaded their card and withdrew the cash. So the money is pretty much long gone. That is why there is a strong warning on these cards to never give the number to anyone. These scammers use fake ig accounts and fake disposable numbers so they are untrackable. The company will also most likely side against you because you were at fault for giving up the number to a stranger. Filing a police report is also useless because the scammer is most likely in another state or country. Best advice is to learn from it. Sounds to good to be true it usually is. Greed can be a horrible thing. You were okay with someone doing something illegal when it benefits you. Now something illegal is being dome to you... Well here you are.
