I just purchased a Magic Mesh screen door for $20, when I hit order I found MM is charging $16 for shipping and handling.
16 BUCKS! for a $20 product. The ad says $8 (which is fair), but as if by "magic" the S&H is doubled. And the final draft states "allow 2-6 weeks for delivery".
Is the Pony Express still in business?

I bought this myself, and put it up as the directions stated to do, not even 10 min later a 2mph wind came and blew the magnets apart, then the tape part that holds the velcro came off the door frame, What a rip off, can not get ahold of the company have tried many times, Walmart will not take it back so I'm screwed.

OK, I understood that I was paying twice the shipping when I placed my order. I too feel the 8 bucks for delivery was ridiculous for a 2lb item (as I ship quite a lot in my own business) over a ridiculous delivery time frame as well...but my problem with this transaction was that they charged me for two deals, and 4 times for the shipping. I only ordered one deal.
Upon the final page there was no contact info. In the confirmation e-mail was a website tracking system that did not recognize my order number and no one was available by phone.
They basically created a "mistake" that cannot be corrected and so in that, they collected the 71.70 from my bank account and there was nothing I could do but wait for the four stupid screens to show up that I did not want. No mistaking that this company is corrupt.

If you feel you've been ripped-off by this language, your only recourse is to file a complaint directly with the FCC. That's what I'll do."
Did you even look at the wording from their site on my previous rebuttal? What's devious about it?
You weren't ripped off by the language, only your inability to read AND comprehend.
The "FCC" isn't even going to be the littlest bit interested, but it should give them a good chuckle.
The "FCC" is in charge of keeping radio frequencies from interfering with each other. Why would they care?
Try the "FTc", they could also stand some humor in their day.

I contacted the Connecticut Better Business Bureau to file a complaint about Magic Mesh's questionable S&H tactics and when I listed "Magic Mesh Door Cover, P.O. Box 3179, Wallingford CT 06494", the BBB Search couldn't find a listing. Apparently, the company address is just a "blind" P. O. Box.
As with their devious ad language, the address is in print, too.
If you feel you've been ripped-off by this language, your only recourse is to file a complaint directly with the FCC. That's what I'll do.
