Before purchasing anything from this company/website, try doing the following. Call the number on the website to see if someone answers. The lack of an answer will demonstrate the reliability of this company, and how difficult it will be to seek redress when they inevitably fail to deliver your order. Indeed, the fact that they do not answer phone calls, return emails, or demonstrate even minimal customer service will show you that this company is a fraud.
The second thing I would recommend doing would be to read the language of the return policy and the website. You will notice that the language is incoherent, confusing, and seemingly translated from a computerized translation service. This too will give you an idea of the difficulty you will have in dealing with this company. Do yourself a favor and use a reliable company for your online fruit orders. Just beware, this company, in an apparent attempt to cover their indiscretions, has created multiple websites (probably because they need to keep changing their website on account of customer complaints).
In August 2011 I placed an order for a six-month "exotic fruit" subscription through buyexoticfruits.com. Payment of $250.49 was made at that time. Per the website a shipment of unique exotic fruit was to be delivered once per month for six consecutive months (i.e. from September 2011 to February 2012.
The first month's fruit was shipped shortly after placing my order. However, the second shipment did not arrive the following month. I therefore contacted the company and inquired as to the delay. They said they had a "computer" problem, but that they would make a second shipment right away. A second shipment was made several weeks later. Several months went by without a shipment of fruit. Thus, in February 2012 I contacted the company for an answer. I was told a third shipment would be sent out immediately (a shipment which was supposed to have been made in October/November 2011). No shipment was made. Therefore, I contacted the company and requested a refund.
The company's website expressly states they have a "no hassle return policy" and that you may cancel your membership at any time for any reason..." I was told by "Claudia" that a refund would be processed, and I sent a follow up email, through their website, confirming the same. A couple weeks went by with a refund being made. Accordingly, I contacted the company, and this time spoke with "Andy." Andy refused to issue me a refund, despite his company's policy, and was very hostel on the phone (including hanging up on me). He eventually called back, and I was told that the owner of the company, Nerry Pathak, would offer me a new 6 month subscription starting immediately. I accepted this offer, on the condition that if the company missed a single month's shipment "I would receive a full refund." A confirmation email was sent, and the company confirmed the agreement. However, no shipment was made.
I have attempted to contact them about my full refund. No one has answered my calls (during their posted business hours) or my emails, despite forewarning that I would make a complaint to the BBB. Indeed, the company has been rude, uninterested in resolving the matter, and arrogant about their theft of and faulty services.
