For my 21st birthday, my parents agreed to buy me a stereo for my car as a present. I started doing research on the Internet for a good deal. Buyloud had the cheapest prices and all the products that I wanted. So around September 11th of 2002, which is my birthday, I ordered one crossfire amplifier, one Kenwood amplifier (for a friend), two Crossfire sub woofers, and one Pioneer CD player. The total amount of the order was $1221.20. After I placed the order, I checked the my order status on the buyloud web site. For a few days all it said was "Order is being processed."

Finally on Sept. 20th 2002, I called buyloud and asked them how I was supposed to pay for my product. In order to pay by credit card, I was told that I had to pay through Paypal. So I went to set up an account with Paypal only to find out that a new member could not make a single purchase over $400. So I opted to pay by personal check. That same day I sent a check to Buyloud.com for $1221.20 to the address listed on their site.

Between that time and December 2nd 2002, I stayed in weekly contact with buyloud by phone and e-mail regarding why I didn't get my product. Over the phone I was told that the reason for the delay on my order was that, "the Kenwood amp was not received yet from a vendor, but we should get it by the end of the week." I asked, "Why can't you send the rest of my order?" They say something like, "We cant do that because we are afraid something would get lost." They gave me all kinds of excuses like this for several months. I finally began threaten that I would cancel my order if my product was not sent when they promised. Around this time during e-mail conversations , they promised to refund money if I did not get my product by a certain time.

On Nov. 21st I called on my status order and I was told my Kenwood Amp was in, and it should ship in the next couple of days. I called back on Nov. 24th to see if they shipped. They told me it did ship, but it may take little longer to arrive because of the short week.

On Dec. 2nd I still had not received my order so I called Buyloud again. I was told that my Kenwood Amp. was not in yet from the vendor. After what I was told, I demanded a cancel of my order and a refund of my money. My response from that was another excuse of why they could not cancel order for a couple of days because it would have to go through accounting. I ended the conversation by telling them that I was going to sue them for my money back. That's the last I heard from them. I know there are more people that have reported being ripped off by these guys. Why doesn't the authorities get involved? These guys have been operating under an ilegal business name for almost a year!

I have Good news!

AUTHOR: Nick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 19, 2003

ATTENTION FELLOW VICTIMS OF BUYLOUD.COM THAT PAID WITH A PERSONAL CHECK: I have good news. I was able to get my money back from Bank of America because they allowed the check to be cashed WITHOUT PROPER ENDORSEMENT.

If your check was endorsed like mine, with basically a scribble mark and nothing else, go back to your bank and get your money back that way. Of course, they may try to get out of it like my bank did, but there is a legal statute that requires a bank to check for proper endorsement and to write down an account number on the check. Neither was done on mine.

Ironically, my check was cashed at a Bank of America also. It could be possible that one of these guys with buyloud worked at a bank and could ilegally cash checks w/out proper endorsment.

Oh well, I'm just happy I got my money back. Good luck to anyone else that has been ripped of by these guys!

In case anyone from buyloud is reading these reports: Kiss my a*s! I got my money back and won't guys won't be ripping anyone off anymore! I hope they find you guys and put you ALL behind bars where you belong! I got my money back..HA HA!!
