I was informed by Cadillac in the form of a Safety Recall Notice that i needed to have my fuel line inspected because of a possibility of it cracking and degrading. I went to the dealer to have this done at NO CHARGE per the notice, I was told that i would have to possibly pay for a new fuel pump because it might become a problem when installing the new fuel line. What a rip off, i didn't create this problem and i don't feel i should have to pay for a safety problem that is Cadillacs. I also contacted Cadillac and was told the only thing they would pay for was the new fuel line. I would think they would want to correct this problem being it has to do with an extreme flammable liquid and could create major problems. Anyway thought you should know what a joke this whole thing is. Guess my next car will be a Lexus. Greg

If the work is done correctly, there should be no problem changing a few line without causing damage to the fuel pump.
I would try going to a different Cadillac dealer for the recall service.
